This week we continue to look at the financial reports of the company that you used all semester long. You will use this assignment, along with the SEC financial statement information from Excel Assignment #11 to interpret the spreadsheet and graphs you prepared in the Excel #1 – #9 assignments.
Publicly traded companies, typically schedule a conference call after releasing their quarterly or annual financial statements to review these with investors and analysts.
Please complete the worksheet Excel Assignment 12 – Investor Conference Call Worksheet.docxAssignment: Personal Budget
Assignment 2:
Assignment Goal: This exercise is designed for students to learn how to use Excel software not only for business analysis but also for practical and personal uses.
Weekly Outcomes: At the completion of this week’s assignment, students will demonstrate how to use Excel for creating budgets, actual expenses, and variances by using one’s own personal expenses estimated for the future.
Weekly Topics/Tasks: Personal Budget – Future NOT Current
Assume you have accepted an offer from an employer you met through a networking event.
Research the salary range for the particular job you accepted. Use these resources: LinkedIn, Salary; Glassdoor; PayScale; and Indeed (all are “.com”) and/or the GSU Library or the RCB Career Advancement Center and speak with someone who can direct you to additional resources for determining the starting salary for the type of job you accepted.
Anticipate the expenses (including housing, transportation, food, etc.) you will incur when you begin working at your new job when, and assuming that, your expenses are NOT paid by someone else such as parents, the military, scholarships, etc. It is the future and you now have this great job. And you are now on your own (and you may need to consider roommates if your income does not cover all your expenses; check out apartments.com for more housing costs).
Review the template for creating a personal budget by clicking on this link: Monthly Budget Form 2022.
Complete the budget column by anticipating the itemized expenses you will incur when you are on your own (no one is paying your bills). If the expense doesn’t pertain to your lifestyle, leave it blank. Add other expenses that may not be listed as a line item if they apply to your lifestyle.I have also attached the work completed before which is talked about excel1-9. As patel apple company. For the personal budget just use BBA in Finance as the major.
