They are all different in their capabilities and focus, but they are all important tools in the information spectrum. Whether it be gathering and analyzing intelligence or disseminating important information to the general public about imminent threats, these programs are powerful when utilized widely and correctly.

Everbridge’s Crisis Management ProgramLinks to an external site.- Everbridge is a leader in the mass notification space, and recently acquired the company that developed E-Team. E-Team was the industry gold standard prior to WebEOC, but suffered from a lack of innovation. Check out what Everbridge has done with the product and click through the case studies for more info.
IMPACTLinks to an external site. – A newly released program, IMPACT combines simulation, visualization, and mapping into an integrated user interface similar to a smart phone or tablet. First responders can use it for planning, situation awareness, and response to natural and man-made disasters. It uses common data formats to easily exchange data with other map-based tools. Live EarthLinks to an external site. – Another newer product that is catching on in the EM community. It relies on open source feeds, which reduces costs but also leads to questions of reliability of data. Nose around the website, and be sure to watch the intro video.
One Concern- Links to an external site.One Concern is a new player in the field of Hazard Modeling, and is a glimpse at what the future of the field could be. Through incorporating the use of Artificial Intelligence, One Concern’s “platform provides unprecedented situational awareness and actionable insights for decision-makers.” Nose through their website. Their staff includes the former FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate.
Microsoft TeamsLinks to an external site.- while many of us likely use Teams at our workplaces, Microsoft has identified an opportunity to expand their kingdom to include the Emergency Management space. Same thing here…nose around the website to learn a little more about the capabilities. There is a wealth of material that comes up in a Google search, as well.
