For this assignment, you will write a 400-500 word response to each question you choose from the chapters in the Spring text (choose 1 question per chapter). You will choose one question from each chapter you wish to answer and provide a comprehensive, supported (use direct quotations from the reading and cite correctly) and thoughtful response to each question. Chapter 8-Spring discusses Dewy’s “the new social functions of the school resulting from global migration, industrialization, and urbanization.” Looking at the immigration from Southern and Eastern Europe, what were some of the “new social functions,” and how does that show up today?
