Instructions: Scan and search the literature for the origins of the etiology of sexual orientation from the nature-versus-nurture perspective. As you are searching, be sure to find scholarly, peer reviewed sources that will allow you to construct the best web of information as you begin to prepare and plan for your presentation. You will want to have no less than 8-10 references for this assignment.
Prepare a 15- to 20-minute presentation highlighting arguments that offer support for the following:
Sexual orientation is biological.
Sexual orientation is based on nurture and personal decisions that individuals make.
Describe potential family reactions given their understanding of the basic tenets of each argument.
Describe the experiences of LGBTQ individuals in our society. Include possible microaggressions they might encounter.
Explain how you would approach your work as a marriage and family therapist working with clients in the LGBTQ population. Be certain that your explanation includes a systemic framework.
Use appropriate APA style and 8-10 references with coordinated citations.
Record your presentation with the tool of your choice. Your final assignment should contain 1) a PowerPoint/Prezi presentation, and 2) audio. Be sure you include instructions on how to access your presentation if it is not in a downloadable format.
