Throughout the course, you have been working on a cumulative project to define and analyze an organizational problem at your place of work and apply HRM theories and models to resolve the problem. This week you will submit the actual project, along with artifacts and supporting documents that demonstrate your original work product.
Note that if you have been working on a simulated case study project instead of a workplace project, please refer back to the original assignment instructions provided by your instructor.
The Cumulative Project Report must include:
A 1-2 page summary of the problem-solving process related to your project(s): How you identified the problem/challenge, what steps you took to address the problem, how you applied HRM theories/concepts in addressing the problem, and what the final outcome was. APA Style, including a title page and in-text citations, are required for your written summary. The annotated bibliography (see below) will take the place of a References page. This brief summary will serve as an outline for your Week 7 Cumulative Project Presentation.
An APA Style annotated bibliography with 6-8 academic or professional resources related to your project. These should be resources you utilized in understanding and addressing the problem. They may also include resources you would suggest to someone else who is working on a similar project. See below for additional details.
A time-log of actual hours worked on the project (Note: You may track your own hours and your supervisor does not need to sign your time-log).
A letter from your supervisor that certifies you completed the project and it was outside of your regular scope of work (if applicable).
Additional artifacts and supporting documents related to your project (e.g., documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc. you used/created for the project).
Annotated Bibliography Details
A basic component of academic research is the annotated bibliography, which is a list of all of the sources you have used during your research. The list is in alphabetical order as it would be on your References page and includes a full citation for each source as it would appear on your References page. However, in addition, an annotated bibliography includes an annotation for each source, which is basically a summary of the source and some commentary on why the source is useful to your project.
Include 6-8 academic or professional resources (the texts for this course do not count toward the required number of sources).
Include a complete citation, formatted in APA Style, for each source.
Include a clear summary of each research source: Explain what it is about so that the reader can get a sense of the source. Here you will want to clearly state the main argument or point and explain some of the topics and supporting reasons given in the text.
Include commentary on why the source is useful and what kind of evidence it adds to your project. Does it add a particular perspective or type of evidence? Explain why you are including it.
Each annotation should be around 100-150 words long.
