Anthropology is a very visual field and there have been some excellent (and some absolutely terrible) anthropological films produced. You will be given several to choose to watch and write a 2-3 page (double spaced, 12 point font) review of, focusing on a specific topic that we have covered in the class.
Pick one ethnographic film accessible online. ( I attached the link below)
Answer the following questions:
-What is the ethnographer’s role?
-What do you learn about this particular culture represented in the film?
-What sorts of representational and ethical issues does it raise, and how do these speak to other forms of representation of cultures?
