Part 1: You have been asked to Interview a healthcare leader. For this interview you will need to do the following:
Set up an interview by phone, in person, or via email.
Ask these three questions, and develop two of your own:
What leadership qualities do you think make healthcare leaders successful and which of these qualities support positive relationships with stakeholders?
What tools/education have you used to develop your leadership skills, and what impact did role models and behavior modeling play in your development?
How important is stakeholder engagement and a collaborative interdisciplinary culture in the overall delivery of healthcare services? Why is that?
Note: This interview report should be written in question and answer format; list the question and then give a synopsis of the answers given, using direct quotes when possible.
Part 2: Reflect on the Interview with the healthcare leader and based on that discussion explain some of the ways to establish a mutually beneficial relationship with stakeholders; and determine what behaviors – role modeling, right vs wrong conduct, etc. support effective stakeholder engagement.
