The paper must be MLA format. You must cite at least four sources in your essay. The sources must be included using in-text citations as well as in your “Works Cited” page at the end of the essay.
What to include:
The four pillars of argument—thesis or claim, evidence, refutation paragraph, and conclusion.
Thesis—must include your debatable issue and your stance on the issue
Evidence—must be varied, relevant, accurate, specific, sufficient, representative
Refutation—refute or at least acknowledge another viewpoint
Conclusion—restate your thesis and bring your essay to closure
Audience—people who agree and who disagree with you, Purpose—to inform, to express your ideas, to persuade your reader and appeals to logos, pathos, and ethos.
Whether you want to use Rogerian elements or a more standard argument style
