What does the artist emphasize visually? How? What elements (line, shape, color, light, space, texture) or principles (balance, symmetry, emphasis, movement, proportion/scale, unity/variety, rhythm) catch your attention?
First, choose one main idea to convey. Write an introductory sentence (not paragraph!) identifying the work you have chosen, then explain your main idea about it in one or two sentences.
Next, give an example or two in support of your main idea. What elements or principles seem most important? Where do you see them? Explain and describe the examples you introduce.
Finally, tie up any loose ends and connect them back to your main idea.
