Using scholarly research, you will write a position (argumentative) paper on whether advertising, overall, has a positive or negative effect on society. You should consider honing this topic. For instance, you might want to look at the effects of advertising on a particular segment of society—teens, minorities, women, men, etc. You also might want to research how advertising effects the economy or mental health. There are many issues that relate to and/or are effected by advertising.
