The assignment:
You will create a physical or digital collage expressing a clear message to the leaders attending COP 26, inspired by the aesthetic and culture of zines.
You must submit your assignment in PDF format. The collage should be one letter-size page only. You can make it digitally, on a program such as Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator, or physically with cut-outs, which you must then scan and convert to submit as a PDF. The collage should be accompanied by a brief text describing:
what you want the leaders attending COP 26 to hear
what points in our class your message connects with
Your submission:
The first page should be a full-page collage
The second page should be a text in Arial font, size 16pt, 150-300 words
Further prompts:
The collage poster should visually express what your message/problem/solution is about
Suggested layout
There should be one short and punchy main message (biggest font size)
There should be a secondary heading with a little bit more context about the message/problem/solution (medium font size)
There can be at the top or bottom 1-3 sentences in smaller font for some additional information if necessary (smallest font size)
This is only a suggestion. The layout is free for you to design based on your visual concept
When you are making the poster, think about who you are targeting. Is it a government official/body, the general public, business leaders, a specific CEO, or other?
Try to make the solution and the target audience specific. In the accompanying text, write about who your poster is targeting and why
If there are existing campaigns about your solution, if you are comfortable doing so, I would encourage that you to align your message with theirs and reach out to them online for input, or share with them when it is done
