Research Paper, around 6-7 pages. High school senior term paper on Mark Twain. My first paragraph: Mark Twain’s emotional intelligence and technical writing skill are the foundations to his comedic ability, and the reason he was known as such an excellent communicator. Twain’s work challenged formerly “unspeakable” issues that were prevalent in America through his lifetime: racism, hatefulness between factions, class barriers, and more. Twain wrote at least 28 books, and each of them displayed a new layer to his talent, and the adaptability behind his writing style. “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” and “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” display the peak of Twain’s writing- his light humor and gentle stepping mixed with the experience and expertise in writing blended to become two of the most well-written and complete displays of American writing. These books are evidence that Mark Twain’s versatility and use of humor to tackle complex, real-world issues is the best reflection of why he is the most talented American writer of all time.
