I am choosing to write about the deeper meaning of the words “pride” and prejudice,” the title of the book, and how the characters display it throughout the read. Oftentimes, several characters showed that almost anyone is capable of being prideful and prejudiced, the blindness toward reality. Throughout the book, the various characters judge each other by using pride and prejudice. This act of blindness causes the characters to ungrasp other perspectives besides their own. I find this topic as a way to illustrate how people are able to step out of their comfort zone by unlearning their pride and prejudice so they can come to accept the other’s goodness of character.
