For my final I am supposed to present a speech talking about Pollution and how it is affecting our world. The first two pages will be the actual speech that I will be presenting, and the 3rd page will be a speaking outline that I will have to submit. The speaking outline is what we can glance at while presenting and what we will be turning in. The first two pages is the actual speech. I will be attaching additional assignments that were due before about this topic so that you can go based off that. I will also be posting the instructions under here to be more clear.

Overall Persuasiveness and Speech Content:
Creative, colorful, powerful language
Clarity of ideas with appropriate language and grammar choices
Strong use of pathos (emotional appeals)
Strong use of logos (well-crafted arguments with clear reasoning)
Solid evidence provided for all claims
A well-established sense of credibility and good will (ethos)
Overall persuasiveness.
The introduction must gain attention and interest of the audience. Relates to audience. Establishes credibility. Previews body of speech.
The body’s Main points are clear and supported. Transitions are clear, the organization is well planned, and language used is appropriate.
The conclusion Prepares the audience for the ending. Reinforces the central idea. Leaves the audience with an impression.

The topic that I would like to choose for my Persuasive Speech is Pollution and how it is affecting the world we live in. Pollution is a global problem that we are all currently facing, and each year it is becoming extremely worse. I am choosing pollution because without our effort to try our best to do our part in preventing it, our population and wildlife will be in great danger. If people are exposed to high enough levels of air pollution, there are great risks of experiencing irritation of eyes, nose and throat. Being exposed to these air pollutants can even increase the risk of a heart attack. According to recent studies, pollution can cause cancer and extreme damage to our immune systems. If we don’t do our part by putting a stop to all the different types of pollution going on, our world will be uninhabitable in the future. In my opinion, this a great topic to choose because with all the right resources and facts to show, I will do an excellent job to persuade my audience to not litter and to really open peoples’ eyes to what is happening to our world!
