1. The first person accounts provided in this week’s readings focus on how family members experience and react to a loved one’s (son, mother, sibling) mental illness. In your response: (READINGS ATTACHED)
Identify one aspect of the family experience that surprised you, including examples from the first person accounts;
Reflect on how using a family psychoeducational approach (described in the first reading) might be helpful to families experiencing the issue you chose to highlight.
2. The readings (ATTACHED) for this module discuss a number of specific micro, macro, and meso-level barriers to specialty substance use disorder treatment for Latinx clients, as well as culturally significant clinical issues to address. Reflecting on your past and current social work roles, please write a Discussion post in which you address the following: Which of the barriers mentioned in the readings have existed at agencies where you work/have worked previously? How so? Briefly describe the agency or agencies and cite at least 1 barrier that you have encountered at agencies where you’ve worked. If you haven’t noticed any relevant barriers, explain why you believe it did not come up in your past field work experience. (1-2 bullet points or sentences)
How could you help to remove or decrease some of these barriers for Latinx clients at your current/previous agencies? List at least 2 ways you could decrease barriers based on the readings and why. (2-3 bullet points or sentences)
Has your agency been placing an emphasis on addressing culturally significant clinical issues?
If yes, how so?
If no, how could you go about helping your agency to make this more of a priority? (1-2 bullet points or sentences)

For this week’s Virtual Assignment, you are instructed to reflect on the different topics discussed this week in class. Out of all of the topics discussed in class and presented in your textbook, ponder the following questions:
1. Which topic was the most interesting? Why?
2. Was there a piece of information presented that was new to you?
3. Did the chapter fail to address any topic? If yes, which one? Why?
Take the time to reflect on these important health topics which involve the male sexual anatomy and physiology. As a reminder, this is a discussion and requires a two part response; one original post reflecting on the topic and one reply post to at least one peer. For additional information regarding discussions, please refer to your Syllabus

What does it look like for you to fight against anti-Black racism and oppression from your positionality? This can look different for BIPOC and folx with proximity to whiteness.
What would you want to express about your own experience as a racialized person? (e.g., African American /Black descent, Asian American Pacific Islander, First Nations, Latino/a, Arab, white European heritage and/or Biracial and/or Multiracial, recent immigrant, etc.)
Considering your identities, how do you show up committed to anti-racism together in our classes, for people we serve, for ourselves?

This is not for a class. I’m a group home manager for people with disabilities. When I got here, the previous manager had multiple checklists. I think it’s too much and would like them consolidated. Can you please give an estimate on consolidating these into one post size (that I can laminate) for daily, weekly, monthly?
