Identify one aspect of the family experience that surprised you, including examples from the first person accounts;
Reflect on how using a family psychoeducational approach (described in the first reading) might be helpful to families experiencing the issue you chose to highlight.

The readings (ATTACHED) for this module discuss a number of specific micro, macro, and meso-level barriers to specialty substance use disorder treatment for Latinx clients, as well as culturally significant clinical issues to address. Reflecting on your past and current social work roles, please write a Discussion post in which you address the following: Which of the barriers mentioned in the readings have existed at agencies where you work/have worked previously? How so? Briefly describe the agency or agencies and cite at least 1 barrier that you have encountered at agencies where you’ve worked. If you haven’t noticed any relevant barriers, explain why you believe it did not come up in your past field work experience. (1-2 bullet points or sentences)
How could you help to remove or decrease some of these barriers for Latinx clients at your current/previous agencies? List at least 2 ways you could decrease barriers based on the readings and why. (2-3 bullet points or sentences)
Has your agency been placing an emphasis on addressing culturally significant clinical issues?
