The critical application paper in this class will be a movie review in which you will describe aspects of stress and coping depicted in film using theory (for example, you could use the ABCX or Double ABCX model applied in your short paper assignment) and research discussed in this course. This will be a movie of your choice—you do not have to receive my approval for your movie choice however you must identify an issue in the movie that relates to the course materials on stress and coping. After a brief description (1-page in length) of the film and its main characters you will be required to explain how the film illustrates general principles of stress and coping or perpetuates misconceptions regarding this topic.

This part of the research paper will include ONLY: abstract, methods/instrumentation, and citations cited
Use at least 5 sources to back up your research and thought process.
For this RESEARCH PAPER, you will be given this sample to analyze Gasoline (analyzing the components and percent ethanol)
And using the mass spectrometer you will write a sample preparation procedure based on an application with the suggested instrumental setup (the explanation is provided in the documents uploaded).
Using the information learned in the presentations (documents uploaded) and literature search using Google scholar and/or the MCD literature database, write a methods and instrumentation section that is suitable for the analysis of the sample and validate it (defend it) using at least 5 sentences.
You will also write an abstract with 4 sentences detailing the purpose of the study to analyze this sample and the methods used. The last sentence (fifth sentence that you WILL NOT be writing yet) should cover the results, but you will only write the four!
DO NOT write an introduction.
DO use pictures and diagrams to illustrate your claims (must be captioned)!
