Look online and find your city or county’s mitigation plan, (Fort Lauderdale/ Broward county FL) or a plan from another city or county, if you wish (state will work too, but your county should have mitigation plan or strategy). Find one identified hazard within the plan or strategy. Review this hazard. Describe the hazard in your post and critical thought. What are the identified risks? What is their plan to mitigate these risks? Is it sufficient in your opinion?
Only a “Hazard Mitigation Plan” or a “Hazard Mitigation Strategy”
Be sure to use APA format for all references and open your post by identifying which hazard mitigation plan you are using.
Your initial post needs to be at least 300 words in length (two good paragraphs)

OVERVIEW
Agency budgets consists of appropriations spent and expenditures for services delivered. The
approved budget becomes an important device to monitor and evaluate spending and service
delivery. Budget and finance officers must constantly monitor the relationship between
appropriations and expenses. Evaluating agencies assist in understanding budgetary impact and
internal infrastructure of efficiency and/or waste.
INSTRUCTIONS
For this assignment, you will write 8-10-page paper (not including title page, reference page, and
any appendices). More specifically, you will need to:
1) Compute and create tables and charts to analyze a three-year trend (2020, 2021, and
2022) of selected appropriations and expenses for agencies within the Department of
Homeland Security
2) Using the tables and charts, write an 8–10 paged research paper that discusses and
analyzes the relationship between appropriations and expenses.
The paper must be in current APA format with 1-inch margins and 12-pt Times New Roman
font. You must also include a title page and reference page. You must include citations to a
sufficient number of appropriate professional, scholarly, or other appropriate sources to fully
support your assertions and conclusions (which will likely require more than the minimum
number of citations); each paper must include a minimum of 5 sources, not including the course
textbooks, assigned readings, and the Bible.
To successfully complete this assignment, please refer to Research Paper: Appropriations and
Expenses Trend Analysis Assignment Guide.
Plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited and may result in failure of the assignment, failure
of the course, and/or removal from the program. It is your responsibility to ensure that you fully
understand what constitutes the various forms of plagiarism and to avoid all forms of
plagiarism.
Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool.

Apply concepts related to statesmanship in a specific, researched public administration case study. Whatever source is used for the actual case study must focus on a real-world public administration situation that is being discussed and analyzed in the chosen article.
The article can be qualitative or quantitative in nature, but it must specifically focus on the public administration context.
Remember to synthesize your research and findings with the required readings and presentations for this week and a Biblical/covenantal model of statesmanship, leadership, and organizational behavior.
I attached some of the readings to refer to and an example of a discussion from the previous week.

RESEARCH PAPER: DESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
OVERVIEW
A simple way to analyze fiscal data over time is via descriiptive statistics. Descriiptive Statistics
refer to the analysis, summary, and presentation of findings related to a data set derived from a
sample or entire population. Descriiptive statistics comprise three main categories – Frequency
Distribution, Measures of Central Tendency, and Measures of Variability. Although descriiptive
statistics may provide information regarding a data set, they do not allow for conclusions to be
made based on the data analysis but, rather, provide a descriiption of the data being analyzed.
Value of Descriiptive Statistics
Descriiptive statistics allow for the ease of data visualization. They allow for data to be presented
in a meaningful and understandable way, which, in turn, allows for a simplified interpretation of
the data set in question. Raw data would be difficult to analyze, and trend and pattern
determination may be challenging to perform. In addition, raw data makes it challenging to
visualize what the data is showing. Descriiptive statistics are used to summarize complex
quantitative data.
Consider the following example: Assume that you are looking at 15 years of state sales tax data.
To find the overall distribution of the sales tax data, descriiptive statistics must be used. Using
raw data and making some sense of it would be challenging. Furthermore, descriiptive statistics
allow for a data set to be summarized and presented through a combination of tabulated and
graphical descriiptions and a discussion of the results found.
INSTRUCTIONS
For this assignment, students will compute and interpret three descriiptive statistics — (1) the
mean. (2) the standard deviation, and (3) the coefficient of variation — and write a four-page
memo stating their findings.
Submit research paper as a research memo:
To:
From:
Subject:
The paper content should consist of:
(1) At least two of pages describing the value of the mean, standard deviation, and
coefficient of variation and how they can be used to analyze revenues.
(2) A table of computational findings using the Revenue Analysis Template.
(3) Analysis of the coefficient of variation of two sets of data based on the computations.
PADM 702
Use the Revenue Analysis Template to present the data in your research memo.
Also, report the means and standard deviations as whole dollars.
Interpreting Descriiptive Statistics
How to analyze the mean and standard deviation and compare the two data sets
The standard deviation measures how far the data points (monthly taxes) are from the mean. The
less spread, the smaller the standard deviation, thus one can have more confidence that the
collected monthly taxes will be parallel. The more the spread, the larger the standard deviation,
thus one can have less confidence that the collected monthly taxes will be parallel.
An analysis of the standard deviation can be somewhat complex. However, for this assignment,
you will just answer the following research questions:
Which set of data shows highest variation and which shows lowest variation? Which
state shows the highest and lowest variations in total income and total sales tax
collections?
Which state’s tax collections are more consistent and fluctuates the least?
Assigned readings are not going to help you analyze primary data. You must learn to do that
yourself by researching how to analyze data. The author(s) have not seen your data, so they
cannot help with the interpretation.

OVERVIEW
The foundation for sound scholarship is a solid command of the academic literature in your field.
A scholar builds this foundation by reading and evaluating one academic source at a time.
Over time, you will read many, many sources. It is vitally important for you to keep a record of
what you have read, along with important annotations so that you remember how each source is
relevant to your research. These citation records include:
Basic bibliographic details: Author, Title, Publication Name, Date, Page Numbers.
A brief summary of the source: What was the key argument? What were its strengths or
weaknesses? Was anything in the piece applicable to your future research?
Tags or Keywords: You should consider how to organize your sources so that you can
easily recall sources that are relevant to various research projects you may be managing,
and sources that are relevant to different parts of a research project.
This Research Paper: Annotated Bibliography Assignment will introduce you to the process
of identifying, recording, and annotating sources for later use. It will also introduce you to a
citation management tool called RefWorks that is available to all Liberty University students. A
link to RefWorks is included in the assignment prompt for Research Paper: Annotated
Bibliography Assignment.
NOTE: If you are already accustomed to using another citation manager, you are not required to
use RefWorks, but you are strongly encouraged to do so.
INSTRUCTIONS
For this assignment, you are required to submit an Annotated Bibliography in which you:
Identify at least ten sources that are relevant to a public policy issue that you may be
interested in researching for your dissertation.
o State and briefly describe, in a few sentences, the public policy issue you intend to
explore in this assignment.
o Note that these sources can be used for your Research Paper: Literature
Assessment Assignment, so be thoughtful in selecting them.
o Create an entry for each source in RefWorks, or your chosen citation manager.
Annotate each source with a summary of at least 50 words. (If you use RefWorks, write
your annotation for each source in the “Abstract” field of your record for that source.)
o Each annotation should state the central thesis of the source being cited.
o Each annotation should explain how the source’s author(s) support their thesis.
o Each annotation should evaluate the relevance or applicability of the source to
your research interest.
Produce an Annotated Bibliography document according to current APA format. (See the
Liberty University Writing Center for a sample Annotated Bibliography – a link to this is
included in the Resources section in this assignment’s prompt.)
PADM 700

o Ensure that you have a properly formatted Title Page with your name, the course
name, the instructor name, and the date of your document.
o Ensure that your citations are properly formatted and alphabetized.
o Ensure that your full annotation of each source is included beneath the source’s
