This assignment will cover the required articles for the week, so please be sure to have read those before starting this assignment. It may be helpful to have the articles open while writing this paper or to write down notes while reading the articles beforehand. This assignment addresses course outcomes 1 – 5 and module learning objectives 1-4.
You are required to write a 1 page reaction paper on your thoughts while reading the assigned articles for the week. You could write about what you found interesting, what surprised you, discuss how the content relates to the readings for the week, or relate the article content to your previous knowledge. Do not simply tell me what’s in the articles, I have read them already.
Formatting: This should be written in Microsoft Word and requires the correct formatting. Specifically, this assignment needs to be at least 1 complete page double-spaced. You are required to write in 12-point times new roman font. You do not need to list your name, class, or date at the top of this paper. Please only include a centered title “Reaction Paper Module 1”, and then begin your paper below. There should be no extra spacing between the paragraphs, or under the title, beyond the original double spaced format. While grading is mainly based on content, there should be minimal grammatical mistakes so that the paper is legible. Points will be deducted if the paper is too difficult to read.

Mike the Headless Chicken, also known as “Miracle Mike,” was a real chicken that lived in the 1940s. The story goes that on September 10, 1945, a farmer named Lloyd Olsen beheaded Mike, intending to prepare him for dinner. However, much to Olsen’s surprise, Mike survived the beheading and continued to live for several weeks. Mike became a sensation, touring with sideshows and attracting attention from scientists and curious onlookers. He lived for 18 months without a head before eventually choking to death in a motel in Arizona in March 1947.

Think about a college class. How may the principles of motivation be employed in that class? Engaging with each other is essential in an online course. You discussed collecting baseline data. Baseline data simply provide a picture of the client’s behavior prior to interventions. It allows you to measure the frequency, duration, intensity and/or latency of the target behavior. You will use these data to help guide treatment decisions. You can also apply this type of baseline measurement to your personal life. For example, if you want to decrease your weekly expenses, what type of baseline data would you collect to start modifying your spending habits?

LEARNER #1—–One goal in my personal life that I would like to modify is improving my daily exercise routine.
Baseline data will be:
Frequency: How many days a week do I exercise?
Duration: How long do I spend in each exercise sessions
Types of exercise: What kind of exercise do I do? Cardio or weightlifting.
Motivation: How is my motivation when engaged in exercising from a scale of 1-10.
When analyzing this data, I would create a plan where I collect data every day when I do exercise. I would track my progress, the time spent during exercise, and also how I feel before and after doing exercise. Every week I will review my progress and make changes by comparing it against the baseline. When choosing a measurement system there are a lot of main factors to consider but in this case, I must consider flexibility and precision. Flexibility because I have to be able to adapt and increase my exercise routine and precision because I want to be realistic and obtain a precise tracking of my workout.
