Define neuroscience and biological psychology and explain their contributions to our understanding of behavior.

Childbirth is both an exciting and a challenging time for both the mother and the baby. The health care system has evolved much over the last century. Now children are born in hospitals and excellent care is available to both babies and moms. In a 4 page paper, enumerate the peadiatric care that is available to babies in pre and post birth care in hospitals.  must be in APA format, and have at least 2 research sources (scholarly resources) enquiries listed at the end. Your research must be in essay format with properly developed paragraphs (7-8 sentences) on a unified theme, having a beginning, middle and end. It must have 4 pages on content. Cover page, abstract and reference age do not count. Sentences must be error free, free of typos and it must have a cover page, an abstract and a reference page must be attached at the end. All citations must be listed in the text whether verbatim or paraphrased and also listed with full detail at the end in the reference page.

Final Essay Exam- (20%)
 
The final exam is an essay. You will have to write a 700 words essay on one of the three topics of your choice:
1st topic: Mental Health and Illness  
2nd topic: Prejudice and Discrimination 
3rd topic: Deviance and Defiance 
You can discuss about anything you want connected to one of those three topics. The goal is to show through the reflections that you understand the Sociological concepts and theories of the topic of your choice. However, it is not about just defining the concepts but rather reflect on them based on one idea, one experience, or thought connected to the topic.

With all of this talk about death, how do we “choose life?” Deuteronomy 30:20 answers this with “love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is your life, and He will give you many years in the land He swore to give to your fathers.” There are no such things as good and bad chemicals, only good and bad people. It is our choice. How do we apply loving, listening, and holding fast to God when making choices in the use of chemicals in our bodies or in the environment?

Critical Thinking Exercise # 1 is the development of the timeline of psychology as a science. You are to develop a timeline of the evolution of psychology from the beginning of psychology as it emerged from the field of philosophy. Include the theorists who are noted as the founder and contributors to each perspective and approach to understanding the structure and function of the mind and its influence on behavior.  See the OERs openstax chapter 2, or Galileo pages 13 & 14, or ocw.mit (Saylor) for examples of timelines and the evolution of psychology as a science.
