The ability to successfully interact with others is a universal skill you will consistently use in your career. Both SWOT and SOAR analyses can help grow these kinds of skills. A SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis is a common framework used by organizational and business leaders to strategically evaluate and improve the impact, performance, and success of an organization, from both an internal and external perspective. In contrast, a SOAR (strengths, opportunities, aspirations, and results) analysis engages all components of an organization (including the individual level) to positively enhance and improve internal performance and productivity.  
In this summative assessment, you will complete a SOAR analysis to assess and highlight aspects of your individual identity, focusing on your personal diversity values, beliefs, knowledge, and worldviews to demonstrate how awareness can positively impact your development specific to diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Becoming aware of your individual identity provides an opportunity to build your interpersonal communication skills meant to assist you with successfully interacting with others. This assignment will allow you to demonstrate how effectively you can explain how awareness of beliefs, biases, and attitudes affects organizational culture and communication related to issues of diversity and inclusion.  
Create a 6- to 8-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® SOAR Personal Diversity Analysis presentation in which you incorporate aspects of your personal diversity values, beliefs, knowledge, and worldviews. Use the following prompts to guide your presentation:

What makes you unique?
What diverse aspects of your identity do you value?
How do you view diversity as a strength?
How do you view inclusion as a strength?
How can the diverse aspects of your identity contribute to building a positive organizational culture?

In the Week 2 readings, we learn that the self is a distinct identity that sets us apart from others. There are a variety of diversity dimensions that make us unique, including race, gender, religion, age, and class. In addition, many of our identities intersect, and depending on the environment or social context, can be variously prominent.  
Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words: 
Ch. 4 of Sociology in Modules challenges us to think of our personal identity and factors that influence how we are socialized, as well as how we socially engage. How would you describe yourself in terms of 3 prominent identity characteristics?  
Share an example of a time when one of your diversity dimensions was more prominent than others. What made that specific diversity dimension stand out?  
Share a time when one of your diversity dimensions conflicted with another. What insights did you gain from reflecting about your diversity dimension conflict?

Review the Bill of Rights for the U.S. Constitution (the first 10 amendments) to understand what rights are listed. There are numerous online sources to find the Bill of Rights.
Next, go online and look up your state’s constitution. Find three state sections that are similar to or align with the Bill of Rights (the first 10 amendments to the U.S. Constitution). Examples include religious freedom, freedom of speech or association, etc. Compare and contrast these three state sections from your state’s constitution with their comparable sections in the Bill of Rights found in the U.S. Constitution and discuss the guidelines for each.
