Write the academic expectations portion of your rationale essay, where you analyze ESC’s and SUNY’s knowledge and skills expectations and explain how you have addressed those in the content of your degree. This section is one of the most important in the rationale essay. It validates your choices for your degree and ensures that there’s “truth in advertising” – that if you develop your degree and concentration in a certain field, you have included the knowledge that’s usually expected in that field.
There are three important things to consider as you’re drafting this section:
You do not have to analyze and rationalize every course in your degree; you may have many elective courses that are unrelated to a guideline or a general education requirement, and that’s fine. But you do need to explain, in your own words, what the guidelines and general education requirements are and how you have addressed them.
You should not simply describe the content of certain courses, or quote course descriiptions. Instead, this portion of the essay really is a rationale – a reasoned analysis of how you have addressed academic expectations.
If you end up quoting a guideline, make sure to cite your source.
Write approximately 2-3 pages (1000-1500 words, double spaced).
Note that all essay sections are considered to be drafts until you put all of the sections together to finalize them.

Relate any two organ systems we have covered so far to each other. Thoroughly discuss the interconnection between the two systems. For example, you may wish to relate the integumentary system to the nervous system by discussing the effects of a burn on the sense of touch.
Also, share one or two (or more) fun and interesting facts about any system or organ we have discussed so far. Either support it or disprove it with scientific evidence. Provide your sources.

The transition from middle to high school is a key time for students as they reach new levels of both academic and personal discovery. Please share a book (novel, non-fiction, etc.) that had a serious impact on you during this time. Please focus more on why this book made an impact on you and less on the plot/theme of the book itself (we are not looking for a book report).

I keep mentioning willingness to pay studies. Here are a few examples. You would want to use a validated scale that is published in a peer reviewed journal as your dependent variable’s measure. One of these might work, and they will give you an idea of what you could do in a similar design but focused on SAFs (e.g., pay X, Y, or Z % more for SAF fuel, OR which are consumers willing to pay more for- SAF or carbon offset of their flight?). Reading about what others have done on somewhat-related topics can also help you see methods and/or figure out exactly how you want to define your research problem. If you compared willingness to pay for SAFs and carbon offsets, you would need to review some of the research on carbon offsets. If you only focus on SAFs, then there is no need to review carbon offset research.
