My name is Ahriyah Marrero. I’m a 17 year old female student from Bronx, New York. I have danced since I was 4 years old specializing in salsa, bachata, contemporary jazz and hip hop. I have a dedicated passion for dancing. I have had amazing opportunities being on a travel dance team to travel for dance and perform in many states and countries. I’ve always wanted to work with children, specifically early childhood education. I am interested in majoring in speech pathology. I have also experienced a great deal of loss in the last year which has impacted me tremendously. My step father who helped raised me was tragically murdered in July 2023 and six months later, my beloved grandmother passed away on Christmas Day. My grandma was a bilingual special education teacher for 35 years in the bronx and apart of the reason why I want to work with children is because of her. She was extremely dedicated to her job and she loved to be a teacher. My mother and I lived with my grandmother until I was 8 years old and that’s when my mother met my step father. They say it takes a village, but both my grandmother and step father were really involve when it came to helping my mom raise me. Losing them has been a very big challenge for me because I have never experienced loss until their deaths. Being in high school, looking forward to graduating and achieving certain goals, it makes me sad that they can not physically be here to witness it all.

Writing Scenario: You are working for Broward College in the marketing department. Your supervisor has requested that you create an electronic manual to help new students successfully navigate their first semester at BC. You may use AI tools to create the document, but your supervisor wants to make sure that it does not read like an artificial (robotic) output of ChatGPT and that it does not include inaccurate information produced by ChatGPT. The goal of the instructional manual is to appeal to students in a more personable tone and promote enthusiasm with excellent advice on how to successfully navigate their first semester so they can continue and, ultimately, graduate from BC.
First, produce your outline to include major parts or sections (on your own without AI help). You might want to produce a brainstorming list on how a student would navigate the first semester for success. Then, you can ask ChatGPT to write the foundation (first draft) of the manual. Finally, you begin to revise with the goal of the manual to speak to students in a welcoming, personable, human, positive, etc. tone instructing the student in successfully navigating their first semester at BC. You will use the second person “You” in giving instructions to the student.
One purpose of process writing is to teach your readers a process (how to do something).
For paper #2, you will create an electronic instructional manual (as a Word document or PowerPoint). You will only need to follow MLA formatting for the Works Cited page and the in-text citations. On the rest of the manual, use your creativity in terms of style, including fonts and images. You will include at least 2 images and 2 outside sources (short quotes or paraphrases). Sources of images and quotes/paraphrases must be cited in MLA.
Only use the 5 paragraph model as a concept or foundation to write and create the content of the manual.

The transition from middle to high school is a key time for students as they reach new levels of both academic and personal discovery. Please share a book (novel, non-fiction, etc.) that had a serious impact on you during this time. Please focus more on why this book made an impact on you and less on the plot/theme of the book itself (we are not looking for a book report).

I keep mentioning willingness to pay studies. Here are a few examples. You would want to use a validated scale that is published in a peer reviewed journal as your dependent variable’s measure. One of these might work, and they will give you an idea of what you could do in a similar design but focused on SAFs (e.g., pay X, Y, or Z % more for SAF fuel, OR which are consumers willing to pay more for- SAF or carbon offset of their flight?). Reading about what others have done on somewhat-related topics can also help you see methods and/or figure out exactly how you want to define your research problem. If you compared willingness to pay for SAFs and carbon offsets, you would need to review some of the research on carbon offsets. If you only focus on SAFs, then there is no need to review carbon offset research.

Assessment 1: Revision Journal (1000 words) due (10%)The revision journal consists of two entries at 500 words each, answering two questions (listed below). These exercises are designed to help you practice essential skills for Film Studies, which will help you with both your essay and the exam. Both entries should be written in prose, not as a series of points. In both parts, you should be aiming to produce a concise argument. Dr Mulvogue and/or your tutors will be available via appointment to discuss individual studies both before and after you submit your work. Late submissions will result in a loss of marks and in limited feedback, thus impeding achievement in both this assessment and the one to follow.1. Analysis of a film sequence. Analyse either of the short sequences chosen from The Beaches of Agnès or Parasite (these sequences will be made available on Moodle). Discuss the way in which your chosen sequence utilises formal aspects addressed on the module such as editing, cinematography, mise-en-scène, and/or sound in order to further the narrative and themes (i.e. implicit ideas, social commentaries, etc.). Write a reflection (1-2 pages) on Theo’s emotional state in the prologue. How does his isolation foreshadow the novel’s larger themes?
ECE Connection: Consider how early childhood educators can help children navigate emotional trauma. Include examples of trauma-informed care strategies.

Overview: In each course, students will develop a comprehensive study guide that relates to the BACB test-content outline items that are covered in the course.
Rationale: The purpose of this Capstone component is for students to develop a portfolio that will serve as a study guide when studying for the BACB exam.
At 4 points during the semester, students will submit progress on their study guide. This is to ensure that students are making progress toward completing their study guide and that their study guide has adequate detail. At each checkpoint students will:
Create an outline of the test content outline items that have been covered
Write 5 original multiple choice questions that include the correct answers and rationale for the correct answer
Provide 1 visual aid to enhance understanding of a complex topic (e.g., chart, diagram, table, illustration). These must be completed by the student and may not be taken from the Internet.

The first 4 Checkpoints will be graded as complete/incomplete. You will earn 5 points for each check point submitted if it includes the following items:

The lessons we take from obstacles we encounter can be fundamental to later success. Recount a time when you faced a challenge, setback, or failure. How did it affect you, and what did you learn from the experience?
The body of the answer to this assignment is that I was diagnosed with dyslexia when I was ten years old. Working with a tutor, extra effort, and tools like audible have allowed me to prosper, be a 4.0 student, class president, school athletic team and investment club manager. I have plenty of excused absences this year because I had a mental health medical emergency. I am in a program for six weeks instead of school where I am getting the help I need. I am keeping up with school work and my grades. I can’t wait to get back to school in a few weeks, but I had to prioritize my health, etc.
