Using Motivational Interviewing and the Case of David in Chapter 2, create a role play in which you, as the clinician, work with the client using the techniques found in Motivational Interviewing and record it (video or audio recordings are for transcriiption purposes only, you will not submit the recording ). Have your partner use the Case of David to elaborate on issues, and you, as the clinician, utilize one of the techniques found in the text. Discussion
This week you have explored many different theories/perspectives, however, for this discussion we will only focus on two theories/perspectives.
Do you agree with Freud, that we are driven by impulses that the ego and superego seek to regulate and control, or do you lean toward the humanist view that people are basically good and striving to attain self-actualization? Your response should be supported by two (2) scholarly articles. Students should provide specific and clear examples their response.

Assignment Part 2: Remember that you are selecting this organization as the one for which you will be writing a grant request. You probably don’t yet know which of your organization’s projects or programs you will use for your funding request, nor what potential funding source you will submit your grant request. But, I want you to have given some thought to those questions. Based on the first chapter in the textbook, your written assignment should include responses to the following questions:
For the organization that you selected in Part 1, which of their programs/projects/needs are you thinking about for this project? With that in mind, what category of support are you considering, and for what purpose? Any idea of the amount your request might be? What organization or agency are you considering for your request? Is it a particular grant program?
This is simply to get you thinking about these questions and to review what you read in the first chapter. And it also gives you some ideas about what things you will need to do to get the first few assignments completed. But I’m not very meticulous about periods, etc. in the citations, and references.) An effective policy is one that achieves a specific outcome in terms of the impact that it has on an organization. Healthcare organizations need to understanding the importance of a policy with regard to setting the internal and external direction of the organization. This can only be done by measuring its effectiveness toward achieving a set standard. Select a healthcare policy and describe its expected outcomes. Based on what you learned this week, address the following requirements: Demonstrate the impact of the policy by discussing changes in short-term, intermediate, and long-term outcomes. Are the changes in outcomes truly attributed to the policy? Identify the relative cost-benefit or cost-effectiveness of the policy. Embed course material concepts, principles, and theories, which will require supporting citations along with at least one scholarly, peer-reviewed reference in supporting your answer.
