New technology—and the application of existing technology—only appears in health

New technology—and the application of existing technology—only appears in healthcare settings after careful and significant research. The stakes are high, and new clinical systems need to offer evidence of positive impact on outcomes or efficiencies.
Nurse informaticists and healthcare leaders formulate clinical system strategies. As these strategies are often based on technology trends, informaticists and others have then benefited from consulting existing research to inform their thinking.
In this Assignment, you will review existing research focused on the application of clinical systems. After reviewing, you will summarize your findings.
To Prepare:
Review the Resources and reflect on the impact of clinical systems on outcomes and efficiencies within the context of nursing practice and healthcare delivery.
Conduct a search for recent (within the last 5 years) research focused on the application of clinical systems. The research should provide evidence to support the use of one type of clinical system to improve outcomes and/or efficiencies, such as “the use of personal health records or portals to support patients newly diagnosed with diabetes.”
Identify and select 4 peer-reviewed research articles from your research.
The Assignment: (4-5 pages not including the title and reference page)
In a 4- to 5-page paper, synthesize the peer-reviewed research you reviewed. Format your Assignment as an Annotated Bibliography. Be sure to address the following:
Identify the 4 peer-reviewed research articles you reviewed, citing each in APA format.
Include an introduction explaining the purpose of the paper.
Summarize each study, explaining the improvement to outcomes, efficiencies, and lessons learned from the application of the clinical system each peer-reviewed article described. Be specific and provide examples.
In your conclusion, synthesize the findings from the 4 peer-reviewed research articles.
Use APA format and include a title page.
Use the Safe Assign Drafts to check your match percentage before submitting your work.

Introduction
Before you attempt this task, you are required to complete the D235 Interprofessional Communication and Leadership in Healthcare course. This task relies on the completion of the 5 Dynamics assessment.
In this task, you will be expected to submit a three-part reflection paper. The reflection paper will help you focus on your experience and insights from the course. This paper includes what you have experienced and learned about the results of your individual 5 Dynamics Assessment and what it revealed about your personal working style; how you work with others; insights you have gained regarding conversations and interactions you have with friends, family, coworkers, and others; as well as your plans for the future.
The first part of your paper will focus on your working style and what you have learned about how you work with others. The second part of the paper will focus on your experience with the different levels of communication explored in the course. The third part of your paper will focus on your overall course experience, your journey through this course, and what you plan to do with the skills you have learned.
The intent of this paper is to reflect on your learning experiences in the course. You should first complete a draft of the paper and then finalize the submission with additional insights.
Be concise, clear, and authentic in your writing. Use the paper to explore your experience, consolidate insights, and start thinking about how you will use the course to improve your chances for success in the future.
Requirements
Your submission must be your original work. No more than a combined total of 30% of the submission and no more than a 10% match to any one individual source can be directly quoted or closely paraphrased from sources, even if cited correctly. The similarity report that is provided when you submit your task can be used as a guide.
You must use the rubric to direct the creation of your submission because it provides detailed criteria that will be used to evaluate your work. Each requirement below may be evaluated by more than one rubric aspect. The rubric aspect titles may contain hyperlinks to relevant portions of the course.
Tasks may not be submitted as cloud links, such as links to Google Docs, Google Slides, OneDrive, etc., unless specified in the task requirements. All other submissions must be file types that are uploaded and submitted as attachments (e.g., .docx, .pdf, .ppt).

ASSESSMENT:
1. SELF – Take honest stock of who I am now (strengths, weaknesses, and overall makeup), with an understanding that I may change and grow over time.
2. SOCIETY – Take honest stock of who/what I currently understand society to be, with the understanding that I may change and grow over time.
3. GOD – Take honest stock of who/what I currently understand God to be, with the understanding that I may change and grow over time.
4. RELATIONSHIP – Taking honest stock of how I understand myself to properly relate to myself, to God, and to society, with the understanding that you may change and grow over time.
5. DIRECTION – Taking honest stock of what I view to be my deepest purpose (not career aims) in life. In other words, to what ultimate end is my life directed? Or, where does the North needle of my life point?
6. OBLIGATIONS – Without worrying what others should be doing or not doing, what are my personal obligations and responsibilities to God, myself, and society?
7. SELF HUMILITY – Do I truly understand that I don’t know everything, including knowing my own self? Am I truly willing to reevaluate my life, my relationships, my attitudes, and to change if evidence warrants it?

ACTION PLAN:
1. In light of the assessments above, how am I to live? What specific things must I actually do to fully and authentically live out my responsibilities to God, to myself, and to society?
Assessment:
1. Self
Strengths: My strengths lie in my ability to be compassionate, resilient, and self-disciplined. I am generally an optimist, bringing positivity even when things seem challenging. Another area is that I am committed to personal development and able to empathize with others, things that have assisted me in making meaningful relationships and overcoming challenges.
Weaknesses: Despite my strengths, I need to improve in certain areas to be effective. One of my weaknesses is struggling with self-doubt, which is evident in my decision-making process. I also acknowledge a weakness of overcommitting and overworking myself, which makes me take on multiple projects that leave me drained. I generally struggle with work-life balance and am very critical of myself, which hinders my progress and self-acceptance. My self-criticism often leads to a fear of failure, which can paralyze me and prevent me from taking risks. It also affects my self-acceptance, as I tend to focus on my shortcomings rather than my achievements.
Overall Makeup: I always try to find a balance between my strengths and
weaknesses, continuously striving for growth in weak areas. I understand that I can change because I am open to embracing new things that life brings.
2. Society
Current Understanding: Society entails the social environment that includes people, communities, and institutions, each with diverse values, beliefs, and challenges. Society is where individuals can find support and experience conflicts. There are instances of collaboration and divisions based on people’s perspectives within a specific society. My perception of society is enriched and shaped by a variety of experiences, education, and interaction with different people groups.
Change and Growth: I understand that my perception of society is not static, but can evolve as I grow and gain new knowledge and insights. It’s empowering to know that I am not bound by my current understanding, but am capable of re-evaluating my position on social relations, justice, and communities based on the things I learn and experience.
3. God
My understanding of God stems from divine presence, guidance, and purpose. God is the primary source of unconditional love, strength, and wisdom. My relationship with God is personal and deeply spiritual, offering me comfort and direction when I experience challenges.
Change and Growth: I wholeheartedly embrace the idea that my understanding of God can evolve based on future experiences and diverse theological perspectives, enriching my spiritual understanding. I am unwavering in my commitment to prayer and maintaining an open heart and mind to learn, seek direction, and forge a deeper connection with God.
4. Relationship
Self: I deeply value the fact that my relationship with myself is fundamental to my well-being. I recognize that self-reflection, self-care, and self-compassion are crucial elements that will guide me towards a more profound and healthier relationship with myself.
God: My relationship with God is based on trust, prayer, and a desire to align my life with the divine will. I aim to cultivate a deeper and more fulfilling relationship, remaining honest, faithful, and rooted in love. Society: Regarding my relationship with society, I focus on taking responsibility and engaging actively in different activities. I believe in contributing positively to the community, advocating for justice and equity, and fostering connections with other people. However, my participation in society might change over time, but I am still committed to being an active and involved member.
5. Direction
My most profound purpose in life is to align myself with the values, grow spiritually, and contribute to Society’s greater good. Based on this, my life goal is to strive to live a meaningful life and contribute to the well-being of Society through compassion, integrity, and service. The “North needle” of my life points toward fulfilling my potential as a compassionate and just individual who seeks to love and serve others.
6. Obligations
To God: My obligation to God includes maintaining my spiritual practice, living a life of faith, and seeking to grow in wisdom and love.
To Myself: I am responsible for my body’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being, seeking personal growth and living authentically.
To Society: I have committed to being an active and informed member of Society, striving to consistently contribute to the welfare of other people and support justice and fairness.
7. Self-Humility
I acknowledge that I do not know everything, including the full depths of myself. I am committed to maintaining openness to new experiences, points of view, and insights. I am ready to re-evaluate my beliefs and attitudes and change them when circumstances and conscience need it to remain at peace. Personal development requires humility, and I am dedicated to approaching life with a spirit of openness and learning.
ACTION PLAN:
My goal is to live authentically and compassionately. I want to be seen as society’s epitome of love and humility. This is not just a personal goal, but a shared aspiration for all of us. Here are some of the action points for different domains of my life:
Spiritual Practice: I will spend some time daily praying, meditating, or engaging in other religious activities that are in line with my beliefs to stay focused on the divine path.
Self-Care: I will respect working hours and take time for leisure and recreation activities such as reading, hiking, or spending time with loved ones to prevent burnout.
Community Engagement: I will generally volunteer, advocate for a specific cause, or support any important cause I hold dear in my community.
Continuous Learning: I will also ensure that I continue learning, research
comprehensively, challenge my assumptions, and seek new experiences that broaden my understanding of the world and myself.
Integrity and Compassion: In my life, I will do everything to ensure that I walk with integrity. This includes making proper decisions that help me uphold my values. I will aim to be compassionate and treat others respectfully regardless of the circumstances. With this said, I would like to embrace these actions, believing I will serve God, myself, and society. It is a commitment that I am determined to keep and follow for the rest of my life. Understanding this is a lifelong process; I commit to retaining a positive attitude that will assist me in tackling different tasks and experiencing transformations in society. My focus is on personal growth, and I am committed to it.
These action points will help me live a fulfilling and desirable life that exhibits compassion, love, and care for all people. It will also help me maintain a healthy physical, emotional, and mental status.

Over the years, healthcare providers have strived to improve the way they provide care for patients who identify as LGBTQIAP+. In some cases, a provider makes the decision to seek out both social and clinical education to provide the best level of care to this patient demographic. Other times, a provider may be instructed to comply with institutional guidelines which they may agree or disagree with. For this discussion, you will debate the topic of a hospital publicly announcing a position on healthcare for the LGBTQIAP+ community. Review the scenario below for details:
