In this two-part deliverable assessment, first, create a 5–7 slide elevator-speech style presentation that you will present to stakeholders that provides an overview of policy implementation, including rationale and data that reflect the need for the new policy. Second, create a detailed, annotated training agenda for the pilot team that will accompany your presentation.
In this assessment, inform the leadership stakeholders of a planned pilot project to test the implementation of your new policy. Describe the policy in an elevator-speech style, explain why the policy is needed, and why the group was chosen for the pilot. Then, develop a detailed training agenda that will describe the training needed, including any resources, number and times of classes (including length) and if there will be any skills training and return demonstrations or written exams. Connect the pilot to the benchmarks you will measure. As a result of this presentation, stakeholders are expected to:

Elevator Speech Presentation
Record a 5-minute recorded slide presentation for your elevator speech. Be sure to include:
A brief description of the policy and why it is necessary to improve benchmark metrics or comply with new regulations.
Include a description of the pilot group and why they were chosen to demonstrate the change in workflow and improve quality of care.
Describe the metrics that will be used to determine current practice and compare it after the training has ended.
Summarize the training implementation.
Annotated Training Agenda
You will also develop an agenda for the training sessions, including:
Length and number of class sessions.
Location of classes—simulation lab, classroom, et cetera.
The resources needed for the courses, any teaching staff, equipment, technology, or supplies needed.
What teaching strategies will be employed to measure learner success, including any check-off lists or written exams (you do not have to provide the actual exam)?
How will employees be scheduled and who will maintain records of completion, any grades, or skills verification?

Type of Question: According to Gallagher Ford and Melnyk (2019), PICO questions aim to identify the terms to search for the best evidence to answer a clinical question. PICO questions are used as a search strategy (Gallagher Ford & Melnyk, 2019). PICO questions allow for unbiased and effective searches for the questions posed (Gallagher Ford & Melnyk, 2019).
Sources for Best Evidence: CINAHL, MEDLINE, and PsychINFO would be the best sources for my PICO question. CINAHL and MEDLINE examine healthcare issues across different disciplines (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2019). PsychINFO examines psychological, behavioral, and health sciences (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2019).
Levels of Evidence: According to Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt (2019), levels of evidence rank evidence by the type of design or research methodology that would answer the question with the fewest errors. Level I evidence is generated from systematic reviews or meta-analyses of all RCTs or evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and is the most substantial level of evidence to guide clinical practice (Melnyk & Fineout-Overholt, 2019)

Short case: The outpatient surgical unit is experiencing various unfinished nursing care, including patient teaching, review of current medications and reconciliation of the medications, and emotional support for the patient and family. Background:
QI Process
The Lean Six Sigma model would be the best QI process to address the increased fall rates in the rehabilitation unit. Quality is a secondary effect since the Lean model primarily focuses on eliminating wasteful processes (Livesay et al., 2020). However, the Six Sigma model in combination with the Lean model identifies and targets various issues contributing to falls and addresses shortcomings within current practice by reducing variations in care techniques to improve quality (Duquette, 2023). The five steps that make up the framework of the Lean Six Sigma model are: define, measure, analyze, improve, and control (DMAIC) (Takao et al., 2017). In the case of the fall rates QI project, the ANP must first define the problem and identify the needs of the staff and patients (Takao et al., 2017). The primary objective is reducing fall rates by streamlining care delivery amongst RNs and CNAs in the rehabilitation unit. Measurement within the Lean Six Sigma model involves collecting baseline data on the priority issues within the rehabilitation unit (Takao et al., 2017). Measurements should be delineated based on the relationship between the unit RNs and CNAs to analyze the data more easily. 
After collecting baseline data, the ANP will analyze the data to identify the direct causes of the problems leading to increased fall rates and prioritize the importance of the problems (Takao et al., 2017). The ANP must assess data that applies to both the RNs and CNAs working in the rehabilitation unit, such as understanding and awareness of functional ability, variability in care, and environmental barriers to adequate care (Loftus et al., 2015). After analyzing the baseline data, the ANP will present, implement, and measure the efficacy of solutions to the problems causing increased falls (Takao et al., 2017). Per Loftus et al. (2015), these improvements, which are intermittently trialed to evaluate the efficacy, should address the initially defined problem and data points analyzed during the analysis step. Based on the efficacy of the trialed improvements, the ANP will implement unit-wide processes and guidelines to ensure long-term fall prevention compliance (Takao et al., 2017).
