Assignment Instructions:
Good writing skills are essential for success in any academic or professional work. This is particularly true for people in a leadership position, where writing is the primary way to communicate ideas to lower-echelon managers or entry-level employees. Good writing is a skill that requires practice to become perfect. 
The purpose of the Leadership Experience Paper is to  apply the leadership concepts (from the lectures, class notes, book, additional readings,…) to your personal life: to reflect on your strengths and weaknesses as a leader and to recognize which situations align with your style, and which do not.
Task: 
Use leadership concepts to systematically evaluate your leadership and your relationship with your followers. Specifically, think about a time when you were in a leadership position and when you had to influence others. For example, you can talk about a situation that happened in school (e.g., group project, school event) or outside of school (e.g., summer jobs, internships, volunteer work). Address and evaluate your leadership behaviors/style and your relationship with your followers. Please arrange your paper in the following way: 
•  Context. Briefly describe the context. In other words, tell me what I need to know to understand your analysis. Make sure you briefly address the following questions (i.e., one or two sentences for each question):
* What was the setting? Horse Riding Stables for ladies
* What was your main task?  Train beginners
* Who were your followers? Beginners, who wants to learn how to horse ride
* How many followers did you have? 7
* Were your followers similar to one another? In what ways were they similar/dissimilar? No, there where kids, adults, each of them had different skills, some of them are fast learners, some of them I needs to put more effort in teaching them
•  Analysis. After describing the context, you should relate the experience to the leadership literature. Select  two leadership theories from the theories listed below.

For each theory, please do the following:
* Briefly explain the leadership theory.

* Skills approach – Which leadership skills did you demonstrate? Explain how you demonstrated these skills. Which leadership skills did you not demonstrate? Explain how you did not demonstrate these skills.
* Situational approach –Which development level were your followers? Were all your followers at the same development level? Explain why your followers were at this level(s). Which leadership style(s) did you use? Explain how you demonstrated this leadership style(s). Did you use the same leadership style with every follower?
* Path-goal theory – Which follower/task characteristics were observable in your situation? Did all your followers have the same follower characteristics? Explain these characteristics. Which leadership styles did you use? Explain how you demonstrated these leadership styles.
* LMX theory – Which of your followers were in the in-group and which were in the out-group? Which phases of leadership making did you go through? Explain how you went through these different phases.
* Transformational leadership – Which transformational factors did you demonstrate? Explain how you demonstrated these factors. Which transformational factors did you not demonstrate? Explain how you did not demonstrate these factors.
* Servant leadership – Which servant characteristics/ behaviors did you demonstrate? Explain how you demonstrated these characteristics/ behaviors. Which servant characteristics/ behaviors did you not demonstrate? Explain how you did not demonstrate these characteristics/ behaviors.
* Analyze your performance.
* According to this theory, were you an effective leader? Why/Why not?
* According to this theory, what could you have done differently to be a more effective leader?
•  Conclusion. After analyzing your leadership, provide an overall summary of your leadership.
* What are your strengths and weaknesses as a leader?
* Based on your strengths, which situations (tasks/followers) do you think you would excel at leading? 
* Based on your weaknesses, which situations (tasks/followers) do you think you would struggle at leading? 
* What aspects of your leadership are you going to try to work on to become a better leader?
* How do you plan to improve these aspects of your leadership?
General Tips: 
Make sure you  explain and  support your claims by making sure you provide specific examples and relate them to leadership theories. Include other class principles or motivational/leadership theories to support your statements, when appropriate.
Example #1: Saying “I had an in-group relationship with my followers” will not earn you full points. Instead, elaborate on how you know which type of a relationship you had, how your followers showed that, how you showed that, etc.
Example #2: Saying “My participatory leadership style works best with individuals who are willing and able to do work” will also not earn you full points. Instead, explain why your participatory style is conducive to working with individuals who are willing and able to do work.
Your paper will be evaluated on the depth of your analyses. If another theory is obvious and you do not discuss it, you will be penalized. 
Make a coherent story by relating theories to each other and tightening the descriiption of your analyses, and the theoretical background.
Pay attention to spelling, grammar, and sentence construction.  This is not a writing course, but I do care about details. 
To communicate effectively as a leader, it’s important to be concise and remove all clutter. Therefore, your leadership paper should be maximum 3 typed pages (excluding possible references) in length, double spaced, 12pt Times New Roman font.  Hence, this is also an exercise in getting your message across in a space-efficient manner.
Don’t Plagiarize!  In academia, one of the worst sins you can commit is to plagiarize. To plagiarize means claiming someone else’s ideas or writing as your own.  When you don’t acknowledge that you are using someone else’s ideas or writing, that is plagiarism. In academic writing, you acknowledge the ideas of others by citing them in the body of your paper and in the bibliography. The use of unacknowledged ideas or writing is plagiarism. This includes published works, but also includes using papers written by other students. 
Don’t procrastinate! The due date for your leadership paper will arrive rapidly and it will coincide with other demands in this course, such as preparing your groups’ presentation, as well as demands in your other courses.

A 6 question survey was done to analyze how much time adults spend on their smart phone. There were 20 participants that answered the survey. You will need to to analyze the result to answer the following prompts in a 1 page information sheet:
1-Use the survey results to come up with a possible hypothesis. 2-find the mean, median and mode for EACH question’s results 3- Find 1-2 scholarly articles that support or deny the results of the survey. 4- are any of these questions or answer choices that can be collapsed/combined? If so, which ones and why?
Once you have analyzed the data from the survey, create a powerpoint (3 slide minimum) with the data collected. The 1 page information sheet and the slides need to be in APA format and should be presented in a professional and academic manner but still engage the audience during the presentation portion.

Why is it important for both leaders and followers to embrace change? How can cycles of change assist in the development of servant leadership mindset?

I am tasked with writing a preliminary project for a master’s thesis. I have attached the assignment template itself, which contains more detailed information. We are two students who will write, we will write 30 pages in total for the entire assignment, but only my part will be written by you, my part is about inter-organizational relations, and I have marked the parts to be written in green in the attached document. The topic is the heading on the first page, and possible research questions have been added under “problem/research question”, section 1.1.1 of the document. As mentioned in the assignment template under “theoretical framework”, point 2, the theory part must be connected to the chosen theme. I have also added suggestions for various theories that may be relevant to write about, you can still assess that yourself, as long as 12 pages are written on point 2.1 – “Institutional collaboration: A deep dive into the interaction between organizations”. Use not complicated terms to translate as the assignment must be delivered in Norwegian. I have put in suggestions for literature under point 4.1: Bibliography, but there are no sources on the theories themselves, maybe you´ll have a use for them, so feel free to go through them. Also, use literature that is available and free in Norway. It´s essential to refer to sources in the text and put used sources under “bibliography” as well. Please let me know if you have better suggestions for task construction.

In a minimum five-page paper (not counting the title page) describe your personal coaching and leadership philosophy that will guide your work as a coach of a team or as an athletic director of your institution’s athletic program. In your philosophy of coaching paper you will want to provide your readers with a comprehensive descriiption of your coaching and leadership.

f.If you are a Transformational Leader, or your goal is to become a Transformational Leader, also provide plans for: 1) instilling good character in your athletes, 2) creating a strong, healthy culture and 3) maximizing your student athletes’ academic achievement. (In previous Discussion Board responses, you began to tackle the challenges of putting together effective plans for these topics). You do not have to include this if you do not aspire to become a transformational coach.
g. Please include a closing paragraph that concludes your paper effectively. This is the final required section of your paper.

* Vision provides a vivid picture of the future that focuses you on what you wish to create. A visionary leader is someone with the skills, plan, and commitment to translate the vision into reality.
* Mission expresses in a clear, compelling, and memorable way the reason why your team, program, department, or institution exists.
* Values are the roadmap or guide for achieving your vision and living out your mission on a daily basis. They provide leaders with clarity and a lens for making daily decisions.
To be most effective, values must be prioritized because they can come into conflict with each other. For example, if a program prioritizes winning over character and education, coaches will inevitably make decisions with regard to player participation based on how decisions will impact the likelihood of winning. The leader who prioritizes character over winning will devote time and resources to character development and will hold players accountable for their behaviors regardless of how it may impact competitive participation and outcomes.

Trait Factor Theory
Influence depends upon the traits of the influencer and influenced and the nature of the influence itself. Attempts to exert power or influence over others are enhanced if one is credible and attractive.
Credibility includes: Expertise, Reliability, Confidence, Majority Opinion.
Attractiveness includes: Friendliness, Similar, Cooperative, Competent.
Dynamic Interdependence Theory (pages 216-220)
This theory is based upon the idea that power is an attribute of the relationship not just the traits of the individuals involved. This theory suggests that power exists when two persons share common goals and are mutually dependent upon each other to achieve these goals.

The data table and plot show how long the small bureau took to respond. According to the graph and table, it takes an average of 9 days to answer. The graph is steep for the first 9 days, then it spreads. The highest day to respond was recorded at 9 days with a frequency of 16. It can be concluded that the graph is skewed-right so if the data set’s lower bounds are extremely low relative to the rest of the data, this will cause the data to skew right. Most of the outliers are present on the right side of the distribution.
