The research topic I have chosen is corruption, human rights, with the law enforcement and politics. This interest me because I believe there is corruption in America. We might not see it and here about, but I think when you have money and have influences you can get away with stuff. I want to find out if presidents can be corrupt. Sometimes we see movies about people getting aways with murder and losing evidence, and I wonder if it’s like that in the real world. This is an important and intricate area of study that spans several disciplines, including criminology, political science, law, and human rights studies. In my research would include defining what corruption means in the context of your research.  Examine how corruption can violate fundamental human rights. Analyze the relationship between corruption and politics. Investigate instances where law enforcement agencies are involved in corrupt practices. These are only some topics for my research. 
 

 All questions are worth 20 points:
          1.   Describe some of the problems with defining elder abuse?
          2.   Discuss the types of programs developed to effectively respond to victims of child abuse and neglect.
          3.   Identify and discuss the factors that make it challenging for victims to leave an abusive relationship. How has the Violence Against Women Act helped to protect victims of Interpersonal Violence?
          4.   Less than 5% of completed or attempted rapes are reported to law enforcement officials. Discuss some of the common barriers to reporting, and identify ways these barriers can be addressed.
          5.   How best can education and outreach be used to address either (choose one) Internet Fraud or sexual exploitation online?

TOPIC: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE 
You will then investigate (a) who are the victims of this crime, (b) how prevalent is this crime, (c) what are the causes of this crime, (d) in what ways do victims contribute to the crime, (e) methods of prevention, (f) resources available to assist victims of this crime, and (g) the student’s opinion of any needed changes in resources, laws, sentencing, etc. related to this crime.
The report should be at least 8-10 pages (not including the Title page and Reference page), typed in Microsoft Word, using 12-point font in Times New Roman font, in APA format.

Do you believe elder abuse is more or less serious than child abuse? What is the most serious form of elder abuse in your opinion? What victim rights do our elderly have in the United States? What more can be done to address the issue of elder abuse in America? Please be sure that you include a real-world example in your research.

OVERVIEW
This is a writing assistance  (analytical paper) in which you are required to clearly state the issues or topics, analyze
the authority, rules, regulations and/or laws that apply to the issues or topics, then clearly and
logically apply the rules, regulations and laws to the issues or topics in order to support
conclusions or analysis.
INSTRUCTIONS
List and analyze the specific Constitutional provisions which grant to the federal government
intellectual property jurisdiction (authority). When doing so, be sure to analyze the court’s (US
Supreme Court, and Federal Appellate Courts) rationale when interpreting these provisions to
conclude that the federal government has jurisdiction over these matters. Also, list the agencies
that have oversight over intellectual property and analyze the oversight and/or authority
exercised by each department.
BASIC FORMAT
 A title page is required that includes the title of the assignment, your name, and name of
the educational institution.
 The paper must be typed, double-spaced, 12-point font (Times New Roman), with page
numbers in the bottom center.
 The paper must be 5-7 pages, excluding the title and reference pages.
 You must cite at least 5 sources, which may include real scholarly sources and bible sources.
 This is an analytical paper. Thus, avoid using personal pronouns, or referring to “my
beliefs”, “I think”, “I believe” or similar language. This paper should not be written in
the first person.
 All information obtained from another source must include a citation to that source in
accordance with current Bluebook standards. Also, all assertions should be supported by
authority and not be based upon opinion.

 I will subtract 10 points for each item missing from the list.  I have included two examples… the student example is a .tif and doesn’t download as a word document.  The other document above is a real disclosure used by professions that are LICENSED.  This is only an example…. do not follow as you will be missing valuable pieces required by Certified ADVISORS with a two year degree.  (Also, any examples you find on the web are likely to be for licensed therapists as well… they do not work for this assignment… you will lose points.  Follow the WAC!!!!  I don’t mind if you make up your degree and experience… but you must have all the requirements for a person with a 2 year degree as a Certified Advisor.)
Using the RCWs and WACs as a legal guide, students will create a mock Counselor disclosure document displaying all the necessary information according to the RCWs and WACs.  This document must be type written, legible, and contain all the necessary information.  This document will receive 100 points if handed in on time.  Ten points will be deducted for any items not listed, as identified in class and in the RCWs and WACs.  
Here is an example… not perfect but very good… student was missing a couple items from the WAC   .

Task:Create three outlines by following these steps:
Include a strong thesis statement that reveals your argument and your three supporting elements. For example: Active reading should be a primary method of learning because it supports strong communication skills in the workplace, enhances EFL learner’s transition from the native language to the adopted one, and promotes a tangible experience not found in social media engagement. 
Craft a topic outline that includes your working thesis and a bulleted list of your three supporting elements.
Craft a sentence outline that includes the working thesis and the three topic sentences. 
Craft a paragraph outline that includes the working thesis statement and three substantive body paragraphs. These will become the major sections of your final paper. Within the final paper, you will further expand on these ideas. Each paragraph should open with a topic sentence. A topic sentence delves into one of the supporting elements listed in the thesis. It is a declarative statement that prepares the reader for the ideas explored in the coming paragraphs. In the outline format that you will follow, each of the first sentences in the paragraphs is the topic sentence. Notice how it further expands each of the supporting elements. For example:  Reading is beneficial because it supports strong communication skills, which is necessary for anyone seeking employment. 
Integrate research into each paragraph. Utilize a paraphrase within two paragraphs and a short-burst integrated quotation within one. When integrating a quotation, make sure to provide context for the quotation. Explain what the quotation reveals, proves, disproves, or elucidates. How does this quotation impact the argument? What hole in the research does it fill? 
Insert APA in-text citations whenever research is utilized in the outline and include APA references at the end of the outline. 
Begin the second and third paragraphs with a transitional phrase. Review the transitions resources in the Week 3 Learning Module. For example:  Beyond offering strong communication skills, more specifically, reading can also provide the necessary tools for English language learners to learn how to transition to and effectively use the English language. 
A good outline should also indicate alternate points of view, such as other solutions, other causes, or other effects. Dedicate some time to considering counterarguments. How can you disprove them?
