I have uploaded the Rubric/Guidelines, Paper Template, Previous papers, reading and resources, Module Overview, and chapters from the textbook. Please use the sources provided and textbook chapters. Please follow the Rubric.

Kindly review the attached files. They contain all the necessary requirements you need to follow. Additionally, I’ve included two files related to the company we’re analyzing. ( these 2 files are attached with the task already) but i have added some links for the compnay in the folder called GPT document and I m not sure if they are realvent or not to the task. You’ll need to conduct thorough research and perform an in-depth analysis of the problem, backed by academic sources.
Please read all the files and include as many references as possible. Basically we have been given lots of references to use if we want, but you also need to add more from your own.

Guidelines
Each student must use the Web, newspaper, journal, etc., to find one recent (2020 – present) article related to any chapter in your textbook and make a 5-minute presentation. You must cite your references using APA 7. A PowerPoint must accompany the presentation. Your presentation must address the following:
Title page
Summarize the article
What was the problem/situation? What was the issue?
Who was involved? What were their role and responsibilities?
How was the problem addressed or resolved?
How does the article relate to our textbook, concepts, theories, and practices?
What did you learn from the article?
Reference page

Read and complete the following case and answer the corresponding questions below.

The legal structure guiding the progress in issues brought to the table is vague, while every year historically the volume of proposed legislation is large.

The human resource manager (HRM), in concert with labor relations attorneys and specialists, must understand the complexity and involvement in both union conceptual approaches to issues as well as existing collective bargaining agreements or the negotiation of new or updated agreements.

Consider the following scenario:
You are the human resource manager for an agency that is exploring the implications of changing their stance on unionization in its workforce. You have been asked by senior leadership to submit a proposal that will help determine the path the agency will pursue.

Take a position in the debate on the ethics of unions.
If you are arguing for the ethical need for unions, explain and support your views.

Introduction & Background Information on the Issue.
Responses to Case Questions.
HR Impact and Conclusion: What would you do as an HR professional to prevent or deal with similar issues in the workplace?
Provide any additional thoughts or conclusions that provide your reflections on the case and materials. Extend on the concepts presented in the case.

Week 4: Annotated Bibliography
An annotated bibliography is a critical literature synthesis tool for researchers who are curating resources related to a topic of interest. The annotated bibliography is the first step to a comprehensive literature review and provides an opportunity to identify gaps to be used for future research. An annotated bibliography requires critical reading and summarizing of the findings of collected sources.
Each annotation begins with an APA formatted reference and is followed by a summary of the source. The following questions can be used to craft the summary of the annotated sources:
What was the purpose of this research?
What was the problem the researcher(s) addressed?
What are the research questions?
What method and design were used in this research?
What were the results of the research?
What are the implications for future research?

This week, students will prepare an annotated bibliography (dues in Week 4) with the articles, books, research, etc. you plan to use and cite in your final project (that is due in Week 7). Please follow the sample provided in the classroom with these instructions. Students should include 6-8 entries this week. Please see the following example below.

Assignment Introduction
In unit 2, we learned about many of the legal requirements that has shaped how we manage human resources into today’s business world. These regulations came from somewhere and that somewhere was court cases with individuals versus organizations that gave us our regulatory requirements for today’s HR environment. For this assignment, you are going to research a specific case of your choice and write a case analysis. I have attached a document that tells you how to write a case briefing, and the parts that go along with the project. This exercise will address CLO 1 and CLO 2.
Assignment Instructions
For the assignment, you must have the following parts for your write-up: (A) citation (B) facts (C) issue (D) decision (E) reason (F) analysis. The handout tells you exactly how to write a case brief and I am adding an analysis section. In the analysis section, you are to discuss how you think the case plays its role in the field of human resources. Discuss how you think it changed the field of HR and as an HR manager, what will you do to make sure you follow the law pertaining to your chosen case. The assignment should be a minimum of one full page, double spaced.
The total points for this assessment will be 50 points and I have attached the paper rubric that will define how it will be graded. You must cite your sources in APA formatting. For this assignment, you must have at least one source. Please make sure to create a reference page and you provide in-text citations. If you need to review APA formatting, please review the APA folder that I put together for you.

If you use this website, make sure to download the case to obtain data for your case analysis. They do provide the entire case notes from the court system.
