It is important for you to understand the history of labor unions. Not only must you have a working knowledge of the history, but you must also recognize how that history has shaped the labor unions today.
For this assignment, you will put yourself in the role of an HR professional within a unionized organization with the task of analyzing the history of labor unions. Prepare an infographic that includes the definition of labor unions, significant events, and how you may use history to shape the future. Be sure to illustrate the relationship between labor laws and labor unions.
You may use material from this course, the NCU library, or other outside scholarly work. In addition to an overview of the history, you will use this historical information in your Signature Assignment, so be specific in the descriptions you provide.
Length: One infographic outlining and illustrating the history of union labor laws.
References: Include a minimum of 5 scholarly references.
The completed assignment should address all of the assignment requirements, exhibit evidence of concept knowledge, and demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the content presented in the course. The writing should integrate scholarly resources, reflect academic expectations and current APA standards, and adhere to the Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.

Instructions
Write at least a seven page research paper. The title page and reference page is included in the seven page minimum requirement. Write the paper in your own words and use the American Psychological Association style format, (APA). Use 12 point font and 1 inch margins throughout the paper. You should write full pages. The title page should include the topic title, your name, course name and date. You should number the pages. If you use direct quotes, it should be to emphasize a specific point that you are trying to make and direct quotes should not be more than 10% of your overall paper. You should have a minimum of four references and all references used should be listed on your reference page. Your references should be from professional published journals, magazines and books. You should not use course notes from this or other courses as references. Your research paper should start with an introduction and end with a conclusion. Your paper should be your original writing and will be submitted through the college software program, Turnitin for authenticity. Papers that have been previously submitted from other courses will not be accepted. Select one of the following topics listed below to write your research paper.

Security in the workplace continues to remain a high priority for organizations, especially in light of increases in workplace violence. Conduct appropriate research to identify what are the main or most common types of workplace violence. Select 1 specific type of workplace violence or threat to employees, and provide effective solutions to this threat or violence. Support your work with solid research sources. Be sure to reference scriipture in this assignment.
