When children have a disability, their parents are often their primary advocates. Parents and families have a very different experience with their child than you do, so it is helpful to seek out their perspectives as often as you can.
You can approach this assignment in one of the following two ways:

Identify a parent or a parent group to serve as the participants you will interview or observe.
Develop a list of questions to ask the parents if you decide to conduct an interview. Note: If you observe a parent group, you will want to make note of these same items. Your goals for the interview are to:
1.-Analyze how the parents view their child’s disability.
2.-Describe positive and negatives experiences they have had during the child’s schooling.
3.-Describe the relationships they have developed with stakeholders at the school. Consider teachers, therapists, administrators, et cetera.
4.-Analyze the ways in which the parents advocate for their children’s best interests.
Address the four points listed above in your video. Also, reflect on what you learned from the parents and how that impacts your work with students with disabilities.

Choose two out of three readings to summarize. Use Chicago style of reference. Each one of them should be around 250 words.
Summaries should summarize what the readings are about and how each author builds their argument. Your own opinion is very welcomed, as always. Don’t forget to cite page numbers.

Directions:
For the Final Research Project, you must consult at least one scholarly book. For this assignment, you will be asked to select that book and to add an annotation on it to the Collaborative Annotated Bibliography we have been developing as a collective. This annotation will be in addition to the three annotations you have been asked to contribute in each module.
Here are some guidelines for selecting an appropriate book and preparing an annotation on its content:
To find an appropriate book:
Go to the SUNY Empire online library, or a public or university library.
By now, you have completed two short research-based written assignments and with your classmates developed a Collaborative Annotated Bibliography of substantial length. You may find it useful to go back to the bibliographies of those sources to see if they include a book that is of value to your project.
After you have chosen a book, familiarize yourself with the book and its contents. You need only to “skim” the book at this point, in order to get a sense of:
the topics it covers;
the key argument of the author(s); and
some of the sources the author(s) relies on to support the argument.
As you write your book annotation, be sure to:
Introduce the subject, scope, and type of book.
Identify the book by author, title, and publishing information, following the same guidelines for preparing the other annotations you have done.
Specify the type of book (for example, fiction, nonfiction, biography, autobiography).
Describe the book’s theme.
Include background to enable reader(s) to place the book into a specific context. For example, you might want to describe the general problem the book addresses or earlier work the author or others have done.
Briefly summarize the content, discussing some of the issues the book raises.
Provide your initial reactions to the book
Describe the book: Is it interesting, memorable, entertaining, instructive? Why?
Respond to the author’s opinions:
What do you agree with? And why?
What do you disagree with? And why?
Relate the book to larger issues such as your research topic and others within modern U.S. History.
Try and keep this annotation short. However, since you are being asked to do some additional work, you may aim for 300 words as a maximum amount.

First, present two specific things that feminists thought would improve with the passage of the ERA (with analysis and evidence from the text. Please note: equality is not a *specific* thing). Then, explain why the antifeminists won at the end of the day, including at least two specific arguments made by that group as well as an analysis of their movement strategy. You should mention the international women’s conferences in this portion of your response.
Finally, include a sentence or two explaining why you think the ERA would or would not be a beneficial amendment today, and why.
