This is your opportunity to learn and demonstrate your critical thinking and communication skills. The assignments must follow the following criteria: o The paper must utilize the Critical Analysis Paper Framework (Exhibit A). o Students will be writing a 6-8 page paper. The page requirement does not include the title page, reference page, abstract if include, or any appendices that are added. o Writing is expected to be worthy of college work. Therefore, while this is not an English course, I do expect you to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. o Submissions must be double space, using standard and appropriate language following normal conventions of grammar and style, avoid first person writing, have one-inch margins and Times New Roman font, size 12. o American Psychological Association (APA) must be utilized. o Minimum of twenty (12) citations from appropriate peer journals/books. o Citation Manager: The students should consider utilizing either Refworks or Menedely as their citation managers. The plug-ins for these tools must be installed on the computer the student uses to write their Capstone. o Plagiarism: Plagiarism is often considered to be one of the worst forms of behavior in academia. Plagiarism refers to the use of another person’s expressed thoughts, ideas, writing, or data without properly acknowledging the source of the material. Using the work of another person and trying to pass it off as one’s own without attributing the source is an act of plagiarism. Students caught plagiarizing may face severe consequences up to and including failure of the course. When producing any work for this course, students must properly attribute the sources when they quote, paraphrase, or convey ideas, concepts, theories, or other data. The instructor will be using software to screen all papers for non-original content and to assist me with the identification of plagiarism. See “Why Citations Matter”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiGyc4om3w0. o The paper must utilize the cover page in Exhibit B. o Grading of the submission will be based on substance of the topic itself, together with clarity of expression, proper syntax, spelling, and neatness of presentation. Exhibit C outlines the rubric that will be utilized in grading. o Paper is due as noted on Canvas. o Guidelines for Strategic Analysis Presentation: An oral presentation of your Strategic Plan Analysis is the major project for this course. The purpose is to provide an opportunity for the student to: (1) disseminate research findings and share the benefits of the experience with your peers and other professionals within and beyond the Health Administration program; (2) explain your contribution to the field of Health Administration by connecting your findings to relevant aspects of the professional literature; (3) answer questions and receive verbal feedback; and (4) demonstrate knowledge and skills you have acquired as a result of completing the Health Administration Program. You will have up to 10 minutes to deliver your presentation. At the conclusion, you will take questions from those attending. The following guidelines will apply: o The presentation should be viewed as an opportunity to inform the members of the panel. o The presentation is to be made as if the team is presenting at a board meeting or other high-level meeting. o The presentation must have a logical flow

Compose a focused paper that explains and describes your healthcare issue/topic

Compose a focused paper that explains and describes your healthcare issue/topic from the scientific and mathematical/analytical perspectives of inquiry. (You will cover two perspectives in one paper.) Address your general topic by forming and answering two levels of research questions for each inquiry. Choose a “Level 1 Research Question/Writing Prompt” from both of the lists below to answer in the paper. Compose a “Level 2 Research Question/Writing Prompt” for each kind of inquiry that provides detail, specificity, and focus to your inquiry, research, and writing. State your research questions in the introduction of your paper. Answer each research question and support your assertions with evidence (research) to form the body of your paper. In the conclusion of the paper, briefly review the issues, research questions, answers, and insights. Level 1 Research Questions/Writing Prompts SCIENTIFIC Perspective of Inquiry What are the anatomical, physiological, pathological, or epidemiological issues? Which body systems are affected? What happens at the cellular or genetic level? Which chemical or biological issues are most important? Level 1 Research Questions/Writing Prompts MATHEMATICAL/ANALYTICAL Perspective of Inquiry What are the economic issues involved? Which economic theories or approaches best explain the issue? What are the statistical facts related to the issue? Which statistical processes used to study the issue provide for the best explanation or understanding? Your paper must be five pages in length and reference four to six scholarly, peer-reviewed resources. Be sure to follow current APA Style (e.g., spacing, font, headers, titles, abstracts, page numbering).
