You should have an introduction that moves from general information to more specific information ending with the most specific information: a clear thesis that makes it clear what you want to persuade readers to do in your paper. The body should be comprised of several 8/11-point paragraphs. End the paper with a conclusion that gives your final thought and does not just merely restate your thesis and main points.
Your essay should be at least 1500 words, follow MLA guidelines, incorporate at least three credible sources (no older than 2019), and have a properly formatted Works Cited page.

Step 1: Orientation
The school organises a HEALTH DAY and asks you to present a mental health disorder in order to raise awareness for such issues.
Step 2: Preparation
Your teacher will assign the groups and the subjects. As a group, you need to fill in the information grid. In order to come up with sufficient and interesting information, you must search the internet. Look for at least three reliable and trustworthy sources.
Once you’ve collected all the information, you start preparing the presentation. Keep the following requirements in mind:
–          The presentation should be between 5 to 10 minutes long (make sure everyone has an equal share in the presentation).
–          Include all the information from the grid.
–          Create a poster to visualise your presentation (e.g. Canva).
–          Use the appropriate structure: introduction, body and conclusion.
–          Practise your presentation at home (pay attention to pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary…)
–          Take a look at the evaluation grid.
Step 3: Action
Present your findings to your fellow pupils. Be calm and confident and speak clearly.

Write about migrations in Lahiri’s short stories, Rosario’s novel, and in Danticat’s narratives. What is the effect of displacement from the home country on the characters that migrate to the United States? What is the effect of this displacement on characters’ American born children? As you consider these immigrant narratives, reference mobility and freedom in Hurston’s novel. Does the move from one geographic space to another liberate characters? 

n the second half of the semester, we covered the creation of the NAACP, African Americans in the World Wars, Tulsa, the Harlem Renaissance, The Nation of Islam, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and The Black Power Movement. These were all movements built around the idea of community and a fight for the struggle for that community. Each movement and the impactful leaders involved caused a significant change in American society but current events suggest that there is still work to be done. 
For this paper, I would like you to lean on history to predict how we can address some of the issues the African American community faces today.
Consider a conflict that the African American community faces or has faced in recent years. I’d like you to discuss, based on the movements we covered in class, what “change” would mean for addressing that conflict. Some examples of conflicts might be racial disparities in law enforcement, the Black Lives Matter movement, the impact of voter suppression on communities of color, or any other of your choosing.
You should seek to address the following questions: What does change look like in the context of the problem? How is the African American community affected by the problem? How can ‘community’ be built around the conflict and therefore cause change?

An argumentative synthesis (college research) essay involves the arguing of a particular interpretation (your thesis) of the meaning of a text or about a topic central to a field of study. In addition, it places your argument “in conversation” with other people (scholars) discussing this same text. It should delineate trending topics within the field (literature review), present ongoing conversations among scholars (synthesis) and place your argument within this discussion (rebuttal and argumentation). For this final essay, we will utilize one primary source (unless you are focusing instead upon a trending topic within a field) and six secondary sources. Brainstorm. Identify a trending topic or a text (film, novel, TV show, poem, etc.).
Step 2: Locate 1 primary and  six secondary sources providing contrasting understandings of what the message is of your selected text or about the trending topic you are exploring.
Step 3: Organize your thoughts and develop a thesis supporting your own particular interpretation of this text or view of this topic.
Step 4: Develop an outline for your essay. Your essay should include a literature review section (2-3 paragraphs ideally), a rebuttal section (a single paragraph roughly), and multiple body paragraphs focused as is typical upon synthesis and argumentation. 5 pages (excluding work cited page) and MLA style.

Over the past few years, we have learned a great deal about the role of the brain in the addictive process. In this activity, you will discuss some of these recent findings in the context of a specific case.
