My typed collage descriiption:My collage shows my identity and representation growing up as an Egyptian. Firstly (picture of the cross) I practice Christianity (Coptic Orthodox) and this is something I’m proud to be a part of. Being a Coptic Orthodox Christian holds immense importance to me for several reasons. Firstly, it’s about the profound spiritual connection I feel with God through our church’s teachings and rituals. The Divine Liturgy, prayers, and hymns all play a significant role in nurturing my faith and guiding my spiritual journey. Secondly, being Coptic Orthodox is not just about religion; it’s about embracing a cultural identity deeply rooted in Egyptian heritage. The next picture is the pyramids. The pyramids are incredibly important to me for a multitude of reasons, each deeply ingrained in my sense of heritage and identity. They stand as monumental testaments to human ingenuity and craftsmanship. The sheer scale and precision of their construction leave me in awe of the remarkable capabilities of our ancestors and their ability to achieve such feats without modern technology. Swimming, gardening, and fashion hold immense importance in my life, each contributing to different aspects of my well-being and self-expression. Swimming not only keeps me physically fit but also provides a sense of freedom and tranquility in the water. Gardening connects me to nature, allowing me to nurture and witness the beauty of life firsthand. Fashion, on the other hand, is my creative outlet, where I can express my personality and style through clothing and accessories. Together, these passions enrich my life, bringing joy, balance, and a sense of fulfillment

I am more concerned with what you have to say about what you have learned and how you will apply it moving forward.
You are not required to cite any course-assigned or independently researched materials, but you are held accountable to write based on the scholarship, evidence, and facts that has been shared in this class. Opinions must be supported by the reality that has been shared in the readings, videos, discussions and lectures of this class.
Please do not simply type in a conversational manner or as if you were simply texting and/or posting in social media. Type/write as is commonly expected in an academic paper.
Please make sure to PROOFREAD, EDIT and SPELL CHECK.
My strategy is to read the essay out loud to myself or to someone else. This really helps to spot errors in my writing.
Cite any sources that you are directly quoting or are borrowing a bulk of ideas, statistics, definitions, etc. from. You are asked to write about your understanding, perspective and arguments related to the topic. Your use of course materials should be used as supporting evidence and reveal synthesis and connections between them. Please make sure to cite the work of others. Proper citation avoids any confusion about suspected plagiarism. If you cite others, be sure to include a Works Cited page.

I want to talk about the Black girl experience in the USA and how it hasn’t changed since slavery using books from the class I took. I want you to explain why Black women hate their skin, hair, and how features like our body are over sexualized by White men (slave owners). I want you to use text from books the book Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl by Harriet Jacobs, The Long Song Novel by Andrea Levy, and Homegoing Novel by Yaa Gyasi (the last book could be tricky just use one or two examples). You can also talk about colorism and how light-skin the Black girls view themselves in these novel compare and contrast. You can use the essay I have already written to help you.
