After reading from our textbook, pick a safety system that you feel is important to continue safe operations in airplanes or in aircraft/ airline operations. Back up your argument with additional information that you have found in your research. Make sure to give solid facts from accident reports, yearly safety statistics, and/or personal experience, but stay away from just thoughts and/or feelings.

Airport Role
• Write a paper introducing your airport (Oklahoma City – Will Rogers World Airport).
• The report should be a minimum of two pages in length (not including the reference page).
• Discuss such items as the location, NPIAS classification, surrounding community, its relationship to the collocated reliever and general aviation facilities, as well as any other information you deem important, including information from the FAA Master Record and Airport Data Sheets. SIMNET Introductory Lab
Assignment
SIMNET logo.In this activity, you will become familiar with the SIMNET workspace and complete a short lab assignment followed by a compare/contrast report on the three types of sUAS covered in the lab.
Before participating in this lab, you should have completed the required reading in the Reading and Resources section.
Account
You should have a SIMNET account set up as part of the required materials for this course. If you have not already set up your account and reviewed the introductory video, please do so per the instructions below:
Access SIMNET and complete your user profile.
Note: If you have not already created your SIMNET account, the directions are provided for you here:
SIMNET requires the use of the Chrome browser. Install Google Chrome if needed.
Create a new SIMNET account through SIMNET Sign Up.
Review the SIMNET Tutorial: Quickstart Guide (6:57/YouTube) to become familiar with SIMNET and its features.
Lab
Now that you are familiar with SIMNET, enter the workspace to understand better the capabilities and differences between Multicopter, Fixed-Wing, and VTOL-type sUAS.
Download SIMNET Introductory Lab Table (DOCX). Load the aircraft from the table into the SIMNET workspace and use the values provided by the Performance Pane to complete the table.
Prepare a one to two-page report that includes the results from the table and compares the strengths and weaknesses of each UAS type in terms of performance. Tie this information in with the information presented in your readings about each UAS type’s unique capabilities and/or shortcomings.
Your lab report may include screenshots if desired and does not need to be in APA format, except for references provided at the end. Be sure to review the SIMNET Lab Rubric to understand expectations for your work.
