Student Data Presentation
As an extension of your Intervention Plan, you are required to submit a 3 – 5-minute visual presentation. It can be either a video or a narrated PowerPoint presentation that highlights the findings, research, and interventions that are featured in your paper. The goal of this Student Data Presentation is to simulate what a meeting might seem like to present findings about a student. The meeting might involve other support teachers/specialists and/or parents in efforts to implement interventions to work collaboratively with home and school. Thus, keep in mind to summarize key details and don’t overload these the individuals with too much text on a slide, formal jargon, etc., but document tangible takeaways for these individuals.
Supporting materials should be included in the presentation (e.g. types of assessments used, some general data, types of intervention and materials, etc.). You do not have to be in the video. The student from your intervention should not be in the video. There are a number of video capturing software that can be used, such as Jing, Youtube, Vimeo, or any other video site. Please make sure that you check your privacy settings and only you and the Instructor who can receive a link can view the video. You may attach your visual presentation directly to the assignment section on Canvas.
