In ICU nurses experiencing burnout, how does the implementation of appropriate staffing and break coverage compared to current staffing and break practices affect burnout levels, job satisfaction, and nurse retention over 6 months?

ICU nurses experiencing burnout due to high workloads, long hours, and high emotional stress

I (Intervention):
Implementation of appropriate staffing and break coverage to reduce workload

C (Comparison):
Current staffing and break practices (standard care)

O (Outcome):
Reduction in burnout levels, improved job satisfaction, and nurse retention

T (Time):
Over a period of 6 months

Students will complete a rapid appraisal form for 3 studies related to their PICO question. Each study must be from a reputable, peer reviewed source and no older than 5 years. Systematic reviews and meta-analyses cannot be used for these exercises. Each critical appraisal is worth 10% of the final course grade. These 3 studies will be integrated in the abbreviated literature review for the final IRB project
Critical appraisal #1:
Choose ONE quantitative study related to the chosen PICO topic. Remind the reader of your PICO topic upfront.
From your textbook, answer the questions in box 5.1 and THEN choose the rapid appraisal form that corresponds with the type of quantitative study chosen (Box 5.2, 5.3, or 5.4) for the remainder of the critique.
Indicate in your submission which rapid appraisal form you used (for the 2nd part of the critique) and appraise the study in narrative format in the same order listed on the rapid appraisal form.
Please do not list the questions and then provide the answers. Rather, write your critical appraisal in paragraph form using headings and subheadings that align with the questions you are addressing.
When submitting the appraisal, you must also submit the article as an attachment (not a link). Your paper should have two references:
the textbook and
the article chosen
Critical appraisal #2
Choose ONE qualitative study related to the chosen PICO topic. Remind the reader of your PICO topic upfront.
If you cannot find a qualitative study related to the PICO topic, choose a different qualitative study.
Note: these 3 studies are integrated for the final IRB project abbreviated review so if a non-topical qualitative study is chosen, a 3rd study related to the topic will need to be located for the final IRB project abbreviated literature review.]
Please provide a brief one paragraph summary orienting the reader to the article prior to discussing the details of box 7-1. When writing this paragraph, review the terms in Boxes 7.2, 7.3, and 7.4 and include your assessment of which type of qualitative methodology your study matches.
From the textbook, use Box 7.1 Rapid Critical Appraisal of Qualitative Evidence. Appraise the study in narrative format in the same order listed on the rapid appraisal form.

Choose either ONE quantitative or ONE qualitative study related to the chosen PICO topic. Remind the reader upfront of the PICO topic.
From the textbook, choose the Rapid Appraisal Form that corresponds with the type of study chosen (Refer to the Appraisal forms used for Appraisal # 1 and # 2).
Indicate in your submission which rapid appraisal form(s) was/were used and appraise the study in paragraph format in the same order listed on the rapid appraisal form.
