Scenario You are a graphic designer working for a large firm. Three international clients have hired your company to create brand style guides to define their brand aesthetics. You will choose one of the three clients and design a brand style guide that includes a company logo. You will iterate on the logo design to incorporate “client” (instructor) feedback to create the final logo design. The complete brand style guide will include the finalized logo, client messaging, rules for logo placement, and visual identity elements. Client: Blaze Blaze is a social media company with the goal of bringing adults from diverse backgrounds together to build communities and foster meaningful relationships. Directions Create a brand style guide in InDesign for your chosen client. Complete the unfinished components and make revisions based on professor’s feedback. Your brand style guide must include the following components: Logo Design Create a combination logo that includes a brandmark and a wordmark in Illustrator. You began this work in Milestone One. Design a logo that aligns with the client vision and the target audience’s preferences. Develop two versions of the logo: a two-color and a black-and-white. Apply the principle of simplicity to the logo design. Employ scalability in the logo design. Implement “client” (instructor) feedback to enhance the logo. Note: Ensure that you implement feedback from your “client” (instructor) in the black-and-white version first and then apply the changes to the color version. This will help you see if the changes have enhanced the logo as intended without the influence of color. Messaging Define the brand vision for your client. Include the following required information: Mission statement Personality Tone of voice Create a target audience summary for your client that includes the following: Target audience needs and preferences Visual competitor research Logo Usage Determine the rules for logo usage. You must include the following: Cover page: Replace the mock-up logo with the final logo Table of contents Overview PROFESSOR’S FEEDBACK: This has made some wonderful progression! I really am enjoying the treatments to the text on the pages as well as some of these visual elements! I would consider a white page in the back with a possible color block on the left or right side or the top or bottom. This would solve some of the slight contrast issues you are having with that lighter brown. Also, make sure that if you have a lot of text you are splitting between multiple pages and not condensing the size down for consistency sake. Everything is looking great! Well done!
