Lean Six Sigma organizations use Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to convert customer requirements into product or service features. Within this concept, there is a special tool called the QFD House of Quality, which is shaped like a house. This tool objectively and numerically rates importance and relationships of various elements, then ranks the product/service features in the order that they should be addressed.
Improvement project teams use the QFD House of Quality during the Define phase of the DMAIC cycle to figure out which customer requirements are not being met and to prioritize product/service features for improvement.
You will use the same organization that you are using for your other assignments to develop a House of Quality. You will itemize customer requirements and product/service features, select ratings, and determine which feature is the most critical for improvement.
