What is the article’s object of study?
Add a blue text box where you find it and in the text box explain what it is and how you know this is the article’s object of study.
Find where the body section begins in the article

how you know this is the driving question this section works to answer
how this driving question relates to the object of study for the entire student article Use the pencil tool (the pencil is colored orange in the image below) and circle each individual source that the writer forwards in this body section to help answer the section’s driving question.
You only need to circle a source the first time the writer forwards information from it (in other words, you only need to circle a source once even if the studetn writer forwards more than one idea from it).
If the student writing includes an image for this section of the body, use the “Add Text Comment” tool to add a comment next to this image in which you explain
why the student writing included the image and if you think the image helps you understand the answer to this section’s driving question (why or why not)
