Instructions: Students will get a general sense of how to build the content for the research design section of the paper. Key concepts to address include the type of data to be used (qualitative and quantitative), the scope of the study (14 weeks), Type of study (cross-sectional), Survey used (Liker Type survey), sample size (n=50), data to be used and sources that will provide content for the study.
Review the Youtube Video and respond to the questions (although the reference here is on sociological research, the same scientific method is applied and will provide some direction for students in the capstone class.
Questions.
1). Why is important to clearly identify and discuss your sample (n) in a study? (students must use a sample size of 50 or more in the study.
2). How effective is a study when both qualitative and quantitative study is used in the investigation? Explain.
3). Describe a Likert Scale and discuss why it is commonly used in research. Explain. (students will be using a 5 point Likert scale in their study (Strongly agrree 5, agree 4, neutral 2, disagree 2, strongly disagree 1}.
4). Why is it important to describe the sample (n=50 or more) that is used in a research study? Explain.
