Briefly describe the ethical concern.
Identify all relevant individuals
Describe how you will gather applicable documentation and follow up on second hand knowledge to ensure there is indeed an ethics concern
Describe how your own personal learning history and biases relevant to all parties may impact your decision making.
Identify the applicable applicable core principals and Ethic Code items (summarize your rational for selecting those codes).
Describe what available resources you may consult
Summarize potential ethical actions (contingency plan an and plan b), including risk factors and potential monitoring moving forward.
Critically evaluate each plan of action in accordance with the Ethics Code (page 6)
Describe which action you will select
Describe your plan for implementation – who will you be collaborating with? How will you document the plan and action taken?
Describe how you will evaluate the outcomes of your implemented plan to ensure the concern has been resolved.
Ask your classmates one question about the scenario that may change how one would respond to the scenario. Question may include topics of cultural humility, scope of practice, training, assessment findings, responsibility to the BACB, etc.
