The following research study is a quantitative survey that
presents an inter-group design. The variables are listed as
dependent the self-comparison and as independent the frequency of use of
social media. The aim of the research is to examine whether the
frequency of social networking media use can
affect the self-comparison of each individual. Therefore, the hypotheses
are two, 1) users of social media
networking do not engage in self-comparison with other online
users and 2) the frequency with which users make use of media
social networking does not affect whether users engage in
comparisons with other online users. Based on the
results we will judge whether we accept the hypothesis and reject
the null or the opposite.
