These are merely suggestions & possibilities to help you start thinking of a topic. The requirements are:
The topic you choose must be related to a persuasive argument. For example, you wouldn’t just write a comparison paper comparing the Chiefs vs the Bengals. You need to argue/persuade a reader that one team is better than the other & prove it with sources.
The topic needs to be manageable – writing a research paper to argue that “racism is bad,” for example, isn’t manageable. For one, there’s no real argument there. Racism is bad. Period. Secondly, the scope is far too big. Narrow down your focus/topic to something you can deal with in a 1200-1500 word research paper at the end of the term.
