This week was all about the Crusades and how they were such an important series of events religiously, economically, and politically. While learning about the Crusades, many of you acquired new skills in understanding, organizing, and evaluating historical evidence, as well as structuring a DBQ Essay. For the discussion this week, you will be examining the process you took as you embarked on this challenging assignment – please provide the following in 3 well-developed paragraphs (one for each prompt):
In one well-developed paragraph: discuss the process you underwent when writing the Crusades DBQ Essay – you don’t have to address each of these questions, but you may consider addressing the following: Was this process new to you? What challenges did you encounter when writing the essay – perhaps structuring your argument or analyzing the documents?
In one well-developed paragraph: What content did you learn that was new to you or that surprised you? How did you feel about what you learned about?
