Section 3 – Using Conference Information
Using Conference Information Purpose Statement: Candidates should know about supporting and engaging families and
communities through respectful, reciprocal relationships as well as assessment partnerships with families and professionals. For this reason, you will explain, using examples, how your literacy lessons and assessments are guided by information gathered through
communication with family/caregivers.
Directions: Select two literacy lesson plans used during tutoring to demonstrate how you utilized the information gained from the family/caregivers to develop individualized lessons and assessments. You will write 200-400 word essays to answer each prompt (see prompts 3a and 3b). Remember to use specific examples and evidence from these two lesson plans in each essay.
