INSTRUCTIONS:
This is a part one of a two-part assignment, Part 1 – Professional Business Presentation and Part 2 – Professional Written Report.

Students will give 3 – 5-minute oral presentation on a chosen business topic and write a paper that supports the information provided in the presentation. The presentation and paper should inform their audience on a topic relating to specific company or organization, a specific business industry, a trending business standard/best practice, a specific business process. The business-related topic must be current (within the last year).
PART 1 – ORAL PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS:
The presentation should be 3 – 5 minutes. It should also clearly transition from your introduction, to the body of your presentation, and end with a clear conclusion that allows your audience a 2 – 3-minute question & answer session.
The introduction of your presentation should not make up more than 10-15 percent (approx. 20-45 seconds) of the total time. The introduction should include a clear thesis statement and a transition which should lead smoothly into the body of the presentation.
The body of your presentation should not make up more than 75-85 percent (approx. 2-4 minutes) of the total time. The body of your presentation should include well organized details, examples, and facts which support your thesis and a transition which should lead smoothly into the conclusion of the presentation.
The conclusion of your presentation should not make up more than 5-10 percent (approx.10-30 seconds) of the total time. The conclusion should reinforce your thesis and leave the audience with a final thought.
