Before you begin composing a document, you spend time planning and researching. The same is true when you create an electronic media. Although your website is not intended to be complex, you still need to take time to plan. If you have all of the content written and all of the photos selected, you can concentrate on your layout and design principles as you create your site The purpose of this assignment is for you to create a plan for your website. You will fill out the attached form and submit it to your instructor for approval before you begin working on the website.
Your website will have a minimum of six pages. You may add extra pages if you feel they are needed.
HomepageAll websites must have a homepage. The purpose of the homepage is to let the reader’s know what your organization is all about. You can accomplish this by using the homepage to introduce the viewer to your organization’s mission, purpose, and goals. This content will need to be created before you begin working on the website.

In addition to the mission statement, you might want to include a statement that includes at least three goals that are part of your organization’s purpose. This does not need to be a long statement. Think if it more as a thesis statement introducing the goals you will be listing in the next section of the homepage.
Each of your goal statements should be specific and concise giving the viewer information about what your organization values.
The homepage layouts available in Wix all have photos. After you complete your mission and goals find photos to accompany your content.
For example, if one of your goals was to educate the public, you would find a photo showing someone teaching or talking to a group of people.
You should also find a good photo to put at the top of the homepage. This image should relate directly to your organization’s mission.
Page 2–Defining the ProblemThe next three pages will be dedicated to informing the public about the problem that the organization is dedicated to solving. You have already created this content, so all you have to do is make sure that you have made any revisions or edits suggested by your instructor when you submitted the paper for a grade. Remember, that readers need information presented in “chunks” so you need to divide the information into different sections. You should have done this when you created the original document, but you may have to tweak this a bit to fit your webpage layout
For this section, you should have a brief introduction or overview. The introduction you used for your essay will be a good start although you may need to edit it to fit the new rhetorical situation.
Suggested divisions for this page might be history, causes, effects.
Again, you should find one photo for the top of the page and one photo (or graphic) for each section.
Page 3–SolutionsThis page is set up much like page 2. You will use the information from your recommendation report to offer viewers information on possible solutions to this problem. How you set this page up depends upon how many solutions you offered in the original document. Most likely, you had at least three possible solutions. If this were the case, you would divide the page into three sections: one section for each solution. Each solution should then have a photo or graphic. You will need an overview or introduction at the top of this page letting the viewer know what the page will be presenting.
Page 4–RecommendationsIn your recommendation report, you should have indicated which of the solutions you proposed you would recommend for your client. This information will be placed on page 4. Again, start with an introductory statement and then list the recommendation or recommendations along with photos.
Page 5– Your choice
The purpose of this page is to give your viewers a way to get involved in your organization. You will find several choices in Wix. You might choose the “Get Involved” page and give viewers specific things they can do to become part of your organization. You can also use an “Events” page to list some events you might want your viewers to attend.
Page 6–References.You will need to list the sources you used in the report. Take the information from your works cited pages and put it on this page. Make the URLs live links so the viewer can have access to the entire article if possible. You might also want to include some videos or other articles that relate to your topic.
