In recent years, it has been increasingly common to invest their resources in order to explore space and the universe. While some individuals argue that investing in space exploration is crucial for the advancement of human understanding, others believe that it has affected the government’s finances. From my perspective, both of these opinions are merit, and I will further elaborate in this essay.
The development of mankind, on the one hand, is integrated in space exploration in different ways. Travelling to space may help scientists to find, explore and research whether there are new species on other planets. For instance, explorers might probably find another fossil fuel, or another planet that humans can live on when they went to the space. This is a vital role in human development.
On the other hand, space research should be given less importance due to poverty. The reason is that exploring into space is taking a large sum of money up to billions of dollars every year due to spaceship’s cost, healthcare and other things. To illustrate, they have to give a high salary for architects who work for it. Instead of paying for those, they can spend money on other things like education, other necessities to deal with various problems on Earth first.
In conclusion, my firm conviction is that finding new discoveries in space is just as crucial as human development. Therefore, I believe that the government should be concerned about two aspects equally.
