Objective: Use your knowledge from class to address the legal challenges of a hospitality business project. You don’t need additional research beyond class notes and recommended readings, but if you do extra research, reference it properly using APA style.
Deliverables:
Concept Validation: Before starting, get your hospitality concept approved by the group captain on LMS. This is mandatory, but not graded.
Final Report: Submit a written report on LMS detailing the completion of eight specified tasks. Use the Word template provided, not a PDF.
Tasks:
Each task has specific instructions and a word limit. Tasks include describing your hospitality business, managing intellectual property issues, choosing a legal form for the business, handling employment and contract issues, deciding on a business model, developing a strategy for expansion, addressing privacy and data security, and avoiding liability for negligence.
Methodology:

The concept we have chosen is a time-travel-themed restaurant. Each dining room or area in this restaurant is themed to a different historical period, complete with period-appropriate décor, menus, and staff costumes. This concept would offer a journey through different eras in history, providing an educational and gastronomic experience. The restaurant will be located in Paris, France. Compliance with health and safety regulations for themed environments would be key.
